Matthew 27:27-31

Goodspeed(i) 27 Then the governor's soldiers took Jesus into the barracks, and got the whole battalion together about him. 28 And they stripped him and put a red cloak on him, 29 and made a wreath of thorns and put it on his head, and they put a stick in his hand, and knelt down before him in mockery, saying, "Long live the king of the Jews!" 30 And they spat at him, and took the stick and struck him on the head. 31 And when they had finished making sport of him, they took off the cloak, and put his own clothes on him, and led him away to be crucified.
