Goodspeed⁽ⁱ⁾ ⁴ When he stopped speaking, he said to Simon, "Push out into deep water, and then put down your nets for a haul." ⁵ Simon answered, "Master, we worked all night and caught nothing, but as you tell me to do it, I will put down the nets." ⁶ So they did so, and inclosed such a shoal of fish that their nets began to break. ⁷ And they signaled to their comrades in the other boat to come and help them. And they came, and they filled both boats so full that they began to sink. ⁸ When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' feet and said, "Leave me, Master, for I am a sinful man." ⁹ For he and all the men with him were perfectly amazed at the haul of fish they had made, ¹⁰ and so were Zebedee's sons, James and John, who were Simon's partners. Jesus said to Simon, "Do not be afraid. From now on you are to catch men!"
