Luke 18:18-25

Godbey(i) 18 And a certain ruler asked Him, saying, Good Teacher, having done what, shall I inherit eternal life? 19 And Jesus said to him, Why do you call me good? No one is good, except One, God. 20 You know the commandments, thou must not commit adultery, thou must not murder, thou must not steal, thou must not bear false witness, honor thy father and mother. 21 And he said, All these things have I kept from my youth. 22 And Jesus hearing these things, said to him, Still one thing is lacking to thee: Sell all things whatsoever you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. 23 And hearing these things, he went away very sorrowful; for he was exceedingly rich. 24 Jesus seeing him said, How hardly will those having riches enter into the kingdom of God! 25 For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to go into the kingdom of God.
