John 19:38-42

Godbey(i) 38 After these things, Joseph from Arimathea, being a disciple of Jesus, but having been hidden on account of the fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take the body of Jesus. And Pilate permitted. Then he came and took the body of Jesus. 39 And Nicodemus also, the one having come at first to Jesus by night, came, bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pounds. 40 Then they received the body of Jesus, and wrapped it in linens with aromatics, as is the custom to the Jews to embalm. 41 And there was in the place where He was crucified, a garden; and in the garden a new sepulcher, in which no one was ever yet placed. 42 Then on account of the Preparation of the Jews (because the sepulcher was near), they placed Jesus there.
