THE GOLDEN MENORAH AND THE TWO OLIVES
And the angel wording with me returns and wakens me - as a man wakens from his sleep: 2 and says to me, What see you? And I say, I see, and behold, a menorah all of gold with a bowl on the top of it and his seven lamps on it and seven tubes to the seven lamps on the top: 3 and two olives by it; one on the right of the bowl and one on the left. 4 And I answer and say to the angel wording with me, saying, What are these, my Adonay? 5 And the angel wording with me answers and says to me, Know you not what these are? And I say, No, my Adonay. 6 And he answers and says to me, saying, This is the word of Yah Veh to Zerub Babel, saying, Neither by valour nor by force; but by my spirit, says Yah Veh Sabaoth. 7 Who are you, O great mountain? at the face of Zerub Babel you are but a plain: and he brings forth the headstone with clamors, Charism! Charism to it! 8 And so be the word of Yah Veh to me, saying, 9 The hands of Zerub Babel founded this house; and his hands clip; and you know Yah Veh Sabaoth sent me to you. 10 For who disrespects the day of the lesser? they cheer, and see the tin weight in the hand of Zerub Babel: these seven are the eyes of Yah Veh flitting through the whole earth. 11 And I answer and say to him, What are these two olives on the right and on the left of the menorah? 12 And I answer secondly, and say to him, What are these two olive branches by the hand of the two golden tubes pouring the golden oil from themselves? 13 And he says to me, saying, Know you not what these are? And I say, No, my Adonay. 14 And he says, These are the two sons of oil standing by the Adonay of the whole earth.
