ECB⁽ⁱ⁾ ³ and they bend their tongues as their bow for falsehood: and as for trustworthiness, they prevail not mightily on the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil and they know me not - an oracle of Yah Veh. ⁴ On guard, every man, of his friend and confide not in any brother: for in tripping the heel every brother trips the heel; and every friend walks with talebearers: ⁵ and every man mocks his friend and words not the truth: they teach their tongue to word falsehoods and weary themselves to pervert. ⁶ You settle midst deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me - an oracle of Yah Veh.
