YIRME YAH RESCUED
And so be the word to Yirme Yah from Yah Veh after Nebu Zaradan the rabbi slaughterer sent him away from Ramah; when he took him bound in manacles among all the exiles of Yeru Shalem and Yah Hudah, who were exiled to Babel. 2 And the rabbi slaughterer takes Yirme Yah, and says to him, Yah Veh your Elohim words this evil on this place: 3 Yah Veh brought and worked it as he worded: because you sinned against Yah Veh, and hearkened not to his voice, even this is to you: 4 and now, behold, I loose you this day from the manacles on your hand: if it seems good in your eyes to come with me to Babel, come; and I set my eyes to you: and if it seem evil in your eyes to come with me into Babel, cease: see, all the land is at your face: where it seems good and straight in your eyes to go, go: 5 - and he still replys not - or turn back to Gedal Yah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, whom the sovereign of Babel made overseer over the cities of Yah Hudah; and settle with him among the people: or go wherever it seems straight in your eyes to go. - and the rabbi slaughterer gives him rations and a load/burden and sends him away. 6 And Yirme Yah goes to Gedal Yah the son of Ahikam to Mispeh; and settles with him among the people who survived in the land. 7 And all the governors of the valiant in the fields - they and their men hear that the sovereign of Babel made Gedal Yah the son of Ahikam overseer in the land, and committed to him men and women and toddlers and of the poor of the land - of them who were not exiled to Babel; 8 and they go to Gedal Yah to Mispeh - even Yishma El the son of Nethan Yah, and Yah Hanan and Yah Nathan the sons of Qareach and Sera Yah the son of Tachumeth; and the sons of Ophay the Netophathiy and Yezan Yah the son of a Maachahiy - they and their men. 9 And Gedal Yah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan oaths to them and to their men, saying, Awe not to serve the Kesediym: settle in the land and serve the sovereign of Babel, and it well-pleases you. 10 As for me, behold, I settle at Mispeh, to stand at the face of the Kesediym who come to us: and you, gather wine and summer fruits and oil; and set them in your instruments: and settle in the cities you apprehend. 11 And also, all the Yah Hudiym in Moab and among the sons of Ammon and in Edom and in all the lands, hear that the sovereign of Babel gives survivors of Yah Hudah, and that he has Gedal Yah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan oversee them; 12 and all the Yah Hudiym return from all the places they were driven and come to the land of Yah Hudah - to Gedal Yah, to Mispeh, and gather wine and summer fruits mighty abounding. 13 And Yah Hanan the son of Qareach and all the governors of the valiant in the fields go to Gedal Yah to Mispeh; 14 and say to him, In knowing, know you that Baalis the sovereign of the sons of Ammon sends Yishma El the son of Nethan Yah to smite your soul? - and Gedal Yah the son of Ahikam trusts them not. 15 And Yah Hanan the son of Qareach says covertly to Gedal Yah in Mispeh, saying, Have me go, I beseech you, and I smite Yishma El the son of Nethan Yah, so that no man knows. Why have him smite your soul, that all the Yah Hudiym gathered to you scatter, and the survivors in Yah Hudah destruct? 16 And Gedal Yah the son of Ahikam says to Yah Hanan the son of Qareach, Work not this word: for you word falsely of Yishma El.
