James 5:1-20

TREASURING TREASURES
Come now, you rich, weep and howl for the miseries coming upon you. 2 Your riches putrefy and your garments become motheaten: 3 your gold and silver rust; and their rust becomes a witness against you to consume your flesh as fire. You treasured in the final days. 4 Behold, the hire of the workers who ingathered your regions - whom you cheated, cries out: and the cries of them who harvest enter the ears of Yah Veh Sabaoth. 5 You indulged on the earth and luxuriated; you nourished your hearts as in a day of slaughter; 6 you condemned and murdered the just; and he opposes you not. 7
THE PAROUSIA
So be patient, brothers, until the parousia of Adonay. Behold, the cultivator awaits the precious fruit of the earth and has long patience for it until ever he takes the morning and evening rain. 8 You also, be patient; establish your hearts: because the parousia of Adonay approaches. 9 Sigh not against one another, brothers, lest you be condemned: behold, the judge stands at the portal. 10 My brothers, take the prophets, who speak in the name of Yah Veh, for an example of injurious hardship and of patience. 11 Behold, we count them who endure, blessed. You heard of the endurance of Iyob and saw the completion/shalom of Yah Veh; that Adonay is large spleened and compassionate. 12 But preceding all, my brothers, oath not: neither by the heavens, nor by the earth, nor by any other oath: but that your yes be yes; and your no, no; lest you fall into hypocrisy. 13
THE VOW OF TRUST
Is any among you enduring hardship? Pray! Is any cheerful? Psalm! 14 Is any frail among you? Call for the elders of the ecclesia to pray over him; anointing him with olive oil in the name of Adonay: 15 and the vow of the trust saves the wearied and Adonay raises him; and if he does sins, they are forgiven. 16 Confess your backslidings to one another and vow for one another, to be healed. The energized petition of the just is mighty enough. 17 Eli Yah was a human, like-passioned as we; and he prayed a prayer that it rain not: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. 18 And he prayed again and the heavens gave rain and the earth sprouted her fruit. 19 Brothers, whenever any among you wanders from the truth and one restores him; 20 have him know, whoever restores the sinner from his wandering way saves a soul from death and veils a multitude of sins.
