THE TORAH ON THE LEVIRATE When brothers settle together and one of them dies, having no son, the woman of him who died marries not an outsider man - a stranger: her levirate goes in to her and takes her to him to woman and becomes her levirate: 6 and so be it, the firstbirth she births becomes raised in the name of his brother who died, that his name becomes not wiped out from Yisra El. 7 And if the man delights not to become a levirate, then let her of the levirate ascend to the portal, to the elders, and say, My levirate refuses to raise a name to his brother in Yisra El, he wills to not become my levirate.
