And David ages, satisfied of days; and he has Shelomoh his son reign over Yisra El: 2 and he gathers all the governors of Yisra El, with the priests and the Leviym. 3

And they scribe the Leviym from sons of thirty years and upward: and their number per cranium - mighty by mighty, is thirty-eight thousand. 4 Of these, to oversee the work of the house of Yah Veh: twenty-four thousand: and six thousand officers and judges: 5 and four thousand porters; and four thousand to halal Yah Veh with the instruments I worked to halal. 6

And David allots them allotments of the sons of Levi: Gershon, Qehath and Merari. 7
SCRIBING THE GERSHONIY
Of the Gershoniy: Ladan and Shimi. 8 The sons of Ladan: the head is Yechi El and Zetham and Yah El - three. 9 The sons of Shimi: Shelomoth and Hazi El and Haran - three. - these are the head of the fathers of Ladan. 10 And the sons of Shimi: Yachath, Zina and Yeush and Beriah. - these are the sons of Shimi - four. 11 And Yachath is the head and Zizah the second: but Yeush and Beriah abound no sons; so they are in one mustering, according to the house of their father. 12
SCRIBING THE SONS OF QEHATH
The sons of Qehath: Am Ram, Yishar, Hebron and Uzzi El - four. 13 The sons of Am Ram: Aharon and Mosheh; and Aharon is separated to hallow the Holy of Holies - he and his sons eternally to incense at the face of Yah Veh to minister to him and to bless in his name eternally. 14 As for Mosheh the man of Elohim, his sons are called of the scion of Levi. 15 The sons of Mosheh: Gershom and Eli Ezer. 16 Of the sons of Gershom: Shebu El, the head. 17 And the sons of Eli Ezer: Rechab Yah the head. And Eli Ezer has no other sons: and the sons of Rechab Yah abound above. 18 Of the sons of Yishar: Shelomith the head. 19 Of the sons of Hebron: Yeri Yah the head, Amar Yah the second, Yachazi El the third and Yeqam Am the fourth. 20 Of the sons of Uzzi El: Michah Yah the head and Yishshi Yah the second. 21

The sons of Merari: Machli and Mushi. The sons of Machli: El Azar and Qish; 22 and El Azar dies and has no sons, but daughters; and their brothers the sons of Qish lift them. 23 The sons of Mushi: Machli and Eder and Yeremoth - three. 24
THE NEW SERVICE OF THE LEVIYM
These are the sons of Levi after the house of their fathers - the head of the fathers, as they are mustered by number of names per cranium; who work the work for the service of the house of Yah Veh, from sons of twenty years and upward. 25 For David says, Yah Veh Elohim of Yisra El rests his people, to tabernacle in Yeru Shalem eternally: 26 and also of the Leviym; they neither bear the tabernacle, nor any instruments thereof for the service thereof: 27 for by the last words of David the sons of Levi are numbered from sons of twenty years and above: 28 because of their function at the hand of the sons of Aharon for the service of the house of Yah Veh - in the courts and in the chambers and in the purifying of all the holies and the work of the service of the house of Elohim: 29 and for the bread arrangement and for the flour for offering and for the matsah wafers and for the griddled and for the deep fried and for all manner of measure by measure: 30 and to stand morning by morning to spread hands and halal Yah Veh - and likewise at evening: 31 and to holocaust all holocausts to Yah Veh in the shabbaths, in the new moons, festivals by number, according to their judgment, continually at the face of Yah Veh: 32 and to guard the guard of the tent of the congregation and the guard of the holies and the guard of the sons of Aharon their brothers in the service of the house of Yah Veh.
