Luke 23:8-12

Common(i) 8 Now when Herod saw Jesus, he was very glad, for he had desired to see him for a long time, because he had heard about him, and he hoped to see some miracle done by him. 9 Then he questioned him with many words, but he gave him no answer. 10 The chief priests and the scribes stood by, vehemently accusing him. 11 And Herod with his soldiers treated him with contempt and mocked him; then, dressing him in a gorgeous robe, he sent him back to Pilate. 12 That very day Pilate and Herod became friends with each other, for before this they had been at enmity with each other.
