CLV(i)
2 And David the king rises on his feet, and said, `Hear me, my brethren and my people, I--with my heart--to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, and for the footstool of our Elohim, and I prepared to build,
3 and Elohim has said to me, You do not build a house to My name, for a man of wars you [are], and blood you have shed.
4 `And Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, does fix on me out of all the house of my father to be for king over Israel to the eon, for on Judah He has fixed for a leader, and in the house of Judah, the house of my father, and among the sons of my father, on me, [me] He has been pleased to make king over all Israel;"
5 and out of all my sons--for many sons has Yahweh given to me--He also fixes on Solomon my son, to sit on the throne of the kingdom of Yahweh over Israel,
6 and said to me, Solomon your son, he does build My house, and My courts, for I have fixed on him to Me for a son, and I--I am to him for a father,
