1 Kings 9:7-9 Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:

8 H1004 And at this house, H5945 which is high, H5674 every one that passes H8074 by it shall be astonished, H8319 and shall hiss; H559 and they shall say, H3068 Why has the Lord H6213 done H776 thus unto this land, H1004 and to this house?

9 H559 And they shall answer, H5800 Because they forsook H3068 the Lord H430 their God, H3318 who brought forth H1 their fathers H776 out of the land H4714 of Egypt, H2388 and have taken hold H312 upon other H430 gods, H7812 and have worshiped H5647 them, and served H3068 them: therefore has the Lord H935 brought H7451 upon them all this evil.
