1 Kings 17:1-16 And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the Lord God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.

1 H452 And Elijah H8664 the Tishbite, H8453 who was of the inhabitants H1568 of Gilead, H559 said H256 unto Ahab, H3068 As the Lord H430 God H3478 of Israel H2416 lives, H6440 before H5975 whom I stand, H2919 there shall not be dew H4306 nor rain H8141 these years, H6310 but according H1697 to my word.

2 H1697 And the word H3068 of the Lord H559 came unto him, saying,

3 H3212 Get H6437 you here, and turn H6924 you eastward, H5641 and hide H5158 yourself by the brook H3747 Cherith, H6440 that is before H3383 Jordan.

4 H8354 And it shall be, that you shall drink H5158 of the brook; H6680 and I have commanded H6158 the ravens H3557 to feed you there.

5 H3212 So he went H6213 and did H1697 according unto the word H3068 of the Lord: H3212 for he went H3427 and lived H5158 by the brook H3747 Cherith, H6440 that is before H3383 Jordan.

6 H6158 And the ravens H935 brought H3899 him bread H1320 and flesh H1242 in the morning, H3899 and bread H1320 and flesh H6153 in the evening; H8354 and he drank H5158 of the brook.

7 H7093 And it came to pass after H3117 a while, H5158 that the brook H3001 dried up, H1653 because there had been no rain H776 in the land.

8 H1697 And the word H3068 of the Lord H559 came unto him, saying,

9 H6965 Arise, H3212 get H6886 you to Zarephath, H6721 which belongs to Zidon, H3427 and live H6680 there: behold, I have commanded H490 a widow H802 woman H3557 there to sustain you.

10 H6965 So he arose H3212 and went H6886 to Zarephath. H935 And when he came H6607 to the gate H5892 of the city, H490 behold, the widow H802 woman H7197 was there gathering H6086 of sticks: H7121 and he called H559 to her, and said, H3947 Fetch H4592 me, I pray you, a little H4325 water H3627 in a vessel, H8354 that I may drink.

11 H3212 And as she was going H3947 to fetch H7121 it, he called H559 to her, and said, H3947 Bring H6595 me, I pray you, a morsel H3899 of bread H3027 in your hand.

12 H559 And she said, H3068 As the Lord H430 your God H2416 lives, H3426 I have H4580 not a cake, H4393 but an handful H7058 of meal H3537 in a barrel, H4592 and a little H8081 oil H6835 in a jar: H7197 and, behold, I am gathering H8147 two H6086 sticks, H935 that I may go in H6213 and dress H1121 it for me and my son, H398 that we may eat H4191 it, and die.

13 H452 And Elijah H559 said H3372 unto her, Fear H935 not; go H6213 and do H1697 as you have said: H6213 but make H8033 me there H6996 a little H5692 cake H7223 first, H3318 and bring H314 it unto me, and after H6213 make H1121 for you and for your son.

14 H559 For thus says H3068 the Lord H430 God H3478 of Israel, H3537 The barrel H7058 of meal H3615 shall not waste, H6835 neither shall the jar H8081 of oil H2637 fail, H3117 until the day H3068 that the Lord H5414 sends H1653 rain H6440 upon H127 the earth.

15 H3212 And she went H6213 and did H1697 according to the saying H452 of Elijah: H1004 and she, and he, and her house, H398 did eat H3117 many days.

16 H3537 And the barrel H7058 of meal H3615 wasted H6835 not, neither did the jar H8081 of oil H2638 fail, H1697 according to the word H3068 of the Lord, H1696 which he spoke H3027 by H452 Elijah.
