Romans 4:1-8

BLB(i) 1 What then shall we say Abraham our father discovered according to the flesh? 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has ground of boasting, but not toward God. 3 For what does the Scripture say? “And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness.” 4 Now to the one working, the reward is not reckoned according to grace, but according to debt. 5 However, to the one not working, but believing on the One justifying the ungodly, his faith is reckoned for righteousness, 6 just as David also declares the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works: 7 “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; 8 blessed is the man against whom the Lord will never reckon sin.”
