1 Come now, you rich, weep, wailing over the miseries that are coming upon you.
2 Your riches have rotted, and your garments have become moth-eaten.
3 Your gold and silver have corroded, and their rust will be for a testimony against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have treasured up in the last days.
4 Behold, the wage of the workmen having harvested your fields, having been kept back by you, cries out, and the cries of those having harvested have entered into the ears of the Lord of Hosts.
5 You lived in luxury and lived in self-indulgence upon the earth. You have fattened your hearts in the day of slaughter.
6 You have condemned and have put to death the righteous; he does not resist you.
