BLB⁽ⁱ⁾ ⁸ Deacons likewise must be dignified, not double-tongued, not being given to much wine, not greedy of dishonest gain, ⁹ holding to the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. ¹⁰ And these also, let them be tested first; then let them serve, being blameless. ¹¹ Women likewise must be dignified, not slanderers, clear-minded, faithful in all things. ¹² Let deacons be husbands of one wife, managing the children and the own households well. ¹³ For those having served well acquire a good standing for themselves and great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.
