Mark 4:17 καὶ (and) οὐκ (not) ἔχουσιν (they have) ῥίζαν (root) ἐν (in) ἑαυτοῖς (themselves), ἀλλὰ (but) πρόσκαιροί (temporary) εἰσιν (are); εἶτα (then) γενομένης (having arisen) θλίψεως (tribulation) ἢ (or) διωγμοῦ (persecution) διὰ (on account of) τὸν (the) λόγον (word), εὐθὺς (immediately) σκανδαλίζονται (they fall away).
