Luke 3:4 ὡς (as) γέγραπται (it has been written) ἐν (in) βίβλῳ (the book) λόγων (of the words) Ἠσαΐου (of Isaiah) τοῦ (the) προφήτου (prophet): “Φωνὴ (The voice) βοῶντος (of one crying) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) ἐρήμῳ (wilderness), ‘Ἑτοιμάσατε (Prepare) τὴν (the) ὁδὸν (way) Κυρίου (of the Lord); εὐθείας (straight) ποιεῖτε (make) τὰς (the) τρίβους (paths) αὐτοῦ (of Him).’
