John 19:24 εἶπαν (They said) οὖν (therefore) πρὸς (to) ἀλλήλους (one another), “Μὴ (Not) σχίσωμεν (let us tear up) αὐτόν (it), ἀλλὰ (but) λάχωμεν (let us cast lots) περὶ (for) αὐτοῦ (it), τίνος (whose) ἔσται (it will be),” ἵνα (that) ἡ (the) γραφὴ (Scripture) πληρωθῇ (might be fulfilled) ‹ἡ (that) λέγουσα› (said): “Διεμερίσαντο (They divided) τὰ (the) ἱμάτιά (garments) μου (of Me) ἑαυτοῖς (among them), καὶ (and) ἐπὶ (for) τὸν (the) ἱματισμόν (clothing) μου (of Me) ἔβαλον (they cast) κλῆρον (a lot).” Οἱ (The) μὲν (indeed) οὖν (therefore) στρατιῶται (soldiers) ταῦτα (these things) ἐποίησαν (did).
