1. remembrance, memory:
\ \ a. of persons or people, blotted out by their destruction, Exod 17:14 (E; with מחה) = Deut 25:19; Deut 32:26 (השׁבית) Ps 34:17; Ps 109:15 (both הכרית), Ps 9:7 (אבד), Job 18:17 (אבד; || שֵׁם), Isa 26:14 (אבּד); compare on other hand עוֺלָם ׳ז as portion of righteous.
\ \ b. of ׳י Ps 6:6; Ps 102:13 (|| אַתָּה = יהוה).
\ \ c. of ׳י's character and works Ps 30:5; Ps 97:12; Ps 111:4.

2. memorial, by which one is remembered:
