John 1:2-18

Anderson(i) 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him, and without him not one thing was made that now exists. 4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness comprehends it not. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 This man came as a witness, to testify of the Light, that all through him might believe. 8 He was not the Light; but he came to testify of the Light. 9 He was the true Light, which, coming into the world, gives light to every man. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came to his own country, and his own people received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them he gave the privilege of be coming the children of God, even to those who believe on his name; 13 who were begotten, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the "WORD became flesh, and tabernacled among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and of truth. 15 John testified of him, and cried, saying: This is he of whom I said: He that comes after me, is now before me, for he existed before me. 16 And from his fullness have we all received, even grace for grace; 17 for the law was given through Moses, but the grace and the truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has revealed him.
