Leviticus 10 And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took each of them his censer, and put fire therein, and laid incense thereon, and offered strange fire before Jehovah, which he had not commanded them.

1 H5070 And Nadab H30 and Abihu, H1121 the sons H175 of Aaron, H3947 took H376 each H4289 of them his censer, H5414 and put H784 fire H2004 therein, H7760 and laid H7004 incense H7126 thereon, and offered H2114 strange H784 fire H6440 before H3068 Jehovah, H6680 which he had not commanded them.

2 H3318 And there came forth H784 fire H3068 from before Jehovah, H398 and devoured H4191 them, and they died H6440 before H3068 Jehovah.

3 H4872 Then Moses H559 said H175 unto Aaron, H3068 This is it that Jehovah H1696 spake, H559 saying, H6942 I will be sanctified H7138 in them that come nigh H6440 me, and before H5971 all the people H3513 I will be glorified. H175 And Aaron H1826 held his peace.

4 H4872 And Moses H7121 called H4332 Mishael H469 and Elzaphan, H1121 the sons H5816 of Uzziel H1730 the uncle H175 of Aaron, H559 and said H7126 unto them, Draw near, H5375 carry H251 your brethren H6440 from before H6944 the sanctuary H2351 out H4264 of the camp.

5 H7126 So they drew near, H5375 and carried H3801 them in their coats H2351 out H4264 of the camp, H4872 as Moses H1696 had said.

6 H4872 And Moses H559 said H175 unto Aaron, H499 and unto Eleazar H385 and unto Ithamar, H1121 his sons, H7218 Let not the hair of your heads H6544 go loose, H6533 neither rend H899 your clothes; H4191 that ye die H7107 not, and that he be not wroth H5712 with all the congregation: H251 but let your brethren, H1004 the whole house H3478 of Israel, H1058 bewail H8316 the burning H3068 which Jehovah H8313 hath kindled.

7 H3318 And ye shall not go out H6607 from the door H168 of the tent H4150 of meeting, H4191 lest ye die; H4888 for the anointing H8081 oil H3068 of Jehovah H6213 is upon you. And they did H1697 according to the word H4872 of Moses.

8 H3068 And Jehovah H1696 spake H175 unto Aaron, H559 saying,

9 H8354 Drink H3196 no wine H8354 nor strong drink, H1121 thou, nor thy sons H935 with thee, when ye go H168 into the tent H4150 of meeting, H4191 that ye die H2708 not: it shall be a statute H5769 for ever H1755 throughout your generations:

10 H914 and that ye may make a distinction H6944 between the holy H2455 and the common, H2931 and between the unclean H2889 and the clean;

11 H3384 and that ye may teach H1121 the children H3478 of Israel H2706 all the statutes H3068 which Jehovah H1696 hath spoken H3027 unto them by H4872 Moses.

12 H4872 And Moses H1696 spake H175 unto Aaron, H499 and unto Eleazar H385 and unto Ithamar, H1121 his sons H3498 that were left, H3947 Take H4503 the meal-offering H3498 that remaineth H4503 of the offerings H3068 of Jehovah H801 made by fire, H398 and eat H4682 it without leaven H681 beside H4196 the altar; H6944 for it is most H6944 holy;

13 H398 and ye shall eat H6918 it in a holy H4725 place, H2706 because it is thy portion, H1121 and thy sons' H2706 portion, H801 of the offerings H3068 of Jehovah H801 made by fire: H6680 for so I am commanded.

14 H8573 And the H2373 wave-breast H8641 and the H7785 heave-thigh H398 shall ye eat H2889 in a clean H4725 place, H1121 thou, and thy sons, H1323 and thy daughters H2706 with thee: for they are given as thy portion, H1121 and thy sons' H2706 portion, H5414 out H2077 of the sacrifices H8002 of the peace-offerings H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel.

15 H8641 The H7785 heave-thigh H8573 and the H2373 wave-breast H935 shall they bring H801 with the offerings made by fire H2459 of the fat, H5130 to wave H8573 it for a wave-offering H6440 before H3068 Jehovah: H1121 and it shall be thine, and thy sons' H2706 with thee, as a portion H5769 for ever; H3068 as Jehovah H6680 hath commanded.

16 H4872 And Moses H1875 diligently H1875 sought H8163 the goat H2403 of the sin-offering, H8313 and, behold, it was burnt: H7107 and he was angry H499 with Eleazar H385 and with Ithamar, H1121 the sons H175 of Aaron H3498 that were left, H559 saying,

17 H398 Wherefore have ye not eaten H2403 the sin-offering H4725 in the place H6944 of the sanctuary, H6944 seeing it is most H6944 holy, H5414 and he hath given H5375 it you to bear H5771 the iniquity H5712 of the congregation, H3722 to make atonement H6440 for them before H3068 Jehovah?

18 H2005 Behold, H1818 the blood H935 of it was not brought H6944 into the sanctuary H6441 within: H398 ye should certainly H398 have eaten H6944 it in the sanctuary, H6680 as I commanded.

19 H175 And Aaron H1696 spake H4872 unto Moses, H3117 Behold, this day H7126 have they offered H2403 their sin-offering H2403 and their burnt-offering H6440 before H3068 Jehovah; H7122 and there have befallen H398 me such things as these: and if I had eaten H2403 the sin-offering H3117 to-day, H3190 would it have been well-pleasing H5869 in the sight H3068 of Jehovah?

20 H4872 And when Moses H8085 heard H3190 that, it was well-pleasing in his sight.
