Ezra 5

  2 H116 Then H6966 rose up H2217 Zerubbabel H1247 the son H7598 of Shealtiel, H3443 and Jeshua H1247 the son H3136 of Jozadak, H8271 and began H1124 to build H1005 the house H426 of God H3390 which is at Jerusalem; H5974 and with them H5029 were the prophets H426 of God, H5583 helping them.

  3 H2166 At the same time H858 came H6347 to them Tattenai, the governor H5675 beyond H5103 the River, H8370 and Shethar-bozenai, H3675 and their companions, H560 and said H3652 thus H5922 unto them, H4479 Who H7761 gave you a decree H1124 to build H1836 this H1005 house, H3635 and to finish H1836 this H846 wall?

  12 H3861 But H4481 after H2 that our fathers H7265 had provoked H426 the God H8065 of heaven H7265 unto wrath, H3052 he gave H1994 them H3028 into the hand H5020 of Nebuchadnezzar H4430 king H895 of Babylon, H3679 the Chaldean, H5642 who destroyed H1836 this H1005 house, H1541 and carried H5972 the people H1541 away H895 into Babylon.

  13 H1297 But H2298 in the first H8140 year H3567 of Cyrus H4430 king H895 of Babylon, H3567 Cyrus H4430 the king H7761 made H2942 a decree H1124 to build H1836 this H1005 house H426 of God.

  14 H1722 And the gold H3702 and silver H3984 vessels H638 also H1005 of the house H426 of God, H5020 which Nebuchadnezzar H5312 took H4481 out of H1965 the temple H3390 that was in Jerusalem, H2987 and brought H1965 into the temple H895 of Babylon, H1994 those H3567 did Cyrus H4430 the king H5312 take H4481 out of H1965 the temple H4481 of H895 Babylon, H3052 and they were delivered H8036 unto one whose name H8340 was Sheshbazzar, H7761 whom he had made H6347 governor;

  15 H560 and he said H5376 unto him, Take H412 these H3984 vessels, H236 go, H1994 put H1994 them H1965 in the temple H3390 that is in Jerusalem, H1005 and let the house H426 of God H1124 be builded H5922 in H870 its place.

  16 H116 Then H858 came H1791 the same H8340 Sheshbazzar, H3052 and laid H787 the foundations H1005 of the house H426 of God H3390 which is in Jerusalem: H4481 and since H116 that time H5705 even until H3705 now H1124 hath it been in building, H3809 and yet it is not H8000 completed.

  17 H3705 Now H2006 therefore, if H2869 it seem good H5922 to H4430 the king, H1240 let there be search H4430 made in the king's H1596 treasure - H1005 house, H8536 which is there H895 at Babylon, H2006 whether H383 it be H2942 so, that a decree H7761 was made H4481 of H3567 Cyrus H4430 the king H1124 to build H1791 this H1005 house H426 of God H3390 at Jerusalem; H4430 and let the king H7972 send H7470 his pleasure H5922 to us concerning H1836 this matter.
