Deuteronomy 24 When a man taketh a wife, and marrieth her, then it shall be, if she find no favor in his eyes, because he hath found some unseemly thing in her, that he shall write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.

1 H376 When a man H3947 taketh H802 a wife, H1166 and marrieth H4672 her, then it shall be, if she find H2580 no favor H5869 in his eyes, H4672 because he hath found H1697 some H6172 unseemly H3789 thing in her, that he shall write H5612 her a bill H3748 of divorcement, H5414 and give H3027 it in her hand, H7971 and send H1004 her out of his house.

2 H3318 And when she is departed out H1004 of his house, H1980 she may go H312 and be another H376 man's wife.

3 H314 And if the latter H376 husband H8130 hate H3789 her, and write H5612 her a bill H3748 of divorcement, H5414 and give H3027 it in her hand, H7971 and send H1004 her out of his house; H314 or if the latter H376 husband H4191 die, H3947 who took H802 her to be his wife;

4 H7223 her former H1167 husband, H7971 who sent her away, H3201 may H3947 not take H7725 her again H802 to be his wife, H310 after H2930 that she is defiled; H8441 for that is abomination H6440 before H3068 Jehovah: H776 and thou shalt not cause the land H2398 to sin, H3068 which Jehovah H430 thy God H5414 giveth H5159 thee for an inheritance.

5 H376 When a man H3947 taketh H2319 a new H802 wife, H3318 he shall not go out H6635 in the host, H5674 neither shall he be charged H1697 with any business: H5355 he shall be free H1004 at home H259 one H8141 year, H8055 and shall cheer H802 his wife H3947 whom he hath taken.

6 H2254 No man shall take H7347 the mill H7393 or the upper millstone H2254 to pledge; H2254 for he taketh H5315 a man's life H2254 to pledge.

7 H376 If a man H4672 be found H1589 stealing H5315 any H251 of his brethren H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel, H6014 and he deal H4376 with him as a slave, or sell H1590 him; then that thief H4191 shall die: H1197 so shalt thou put H1197 away H7451 the evil H7130 from the midst of thee.

8 H8104 Take heed H5061 in the plague H6883 of leprosy, H8104 that thou observe H3966 diligently, H6213 and do H3548 according to all that the priests H3881 the Levites H3384 shall teach H6680 you: as I commanded H8104 them, so ye shall observe H6213 to do.

11 H5975 Thou shalt stand H2351 without, H376 and the man H5383 to whom thou dost lend H3318 shall bring forth H5667 the pledge H2351 without unto thee.

12 H6041 And if he be a poor H376 man, H7901 thou shalt not sleep H5667 with his pledge;

15 H3117 in his day H5414 thou shalt give H7939 him his hire, H8121 neither shall the sun H935 go down H6041 upon it; for he is poor, H5375 and setteth H5315 his heart H7121 upon it: lest he cry H3068 against thee unto Jehovah, H2399 and it be sin unto thee.

16 H1 The fathers H4191 shall not be put to death H1121 for the children, H1121 neither shall the children H4191 be put to death H1 for the fathers: H376 every man H4191 shall be put to death H2399 for his own sin.

17 H5186 Thou shalt not wrest H4941 the justice H1616 due to the sojourner, H3490 or to the fatherless, H2254 nor take H490 the widow's H899 raiment H2254 to pledge;

18 H2142 but thou shalt remember H5650 that thou wast a bondman H4714 in Egypt, H3068 and Jehovah H430 thy God H6299 redeemed H6680 thee thence: therefore I command H6213 thee to do H1697 this thing.

19 H7114 When thou reapest H7105 thy harvest H7704 in thy field, H7911 and hast forgot H6016 a sheaf H7704 in the field, H7725 thou shalt not go again H3947 to fetch H1616 it: it shall be for the sojourner, H3490 for the fatherless, H490 and for the widow; H3068 that Jehovah H430 thy God H1288 may bless H4639 thee in all the work H3027 of thy hands.

20 H2251 When thou beatest H2132 thine olive-tree, H6286 thou shalt not go over the boughs H310 again: H1616 it shall be for the sojourner, H3490 for the fatherless, H490 and for the widow.

21 H1219 When thou gatherest H3754 the grapes of thy vineyard, H5953 thou shalt not glean H310 it after H1616 thee: it shall be for the sojourner, H3490 for the fatherless, H490 and for the widow.

22 H2142 And thou shalt remember H5650 that thou wast a bondman H776 in the land H4714 of Egypt: H6680 therefore I command H6213 thee to do H1697 this thing.
