Deuteronomy 1:19-33 And we journeyed from Horeb, and went through all that great and terrible wilderness which ye saw, by the way to the hill-country of the Amorites, as Jehovah our God commanded us; and we came to Kadesh-barnea.

19 H5265 And we journeyed H2722 from Horeb, H3212 and went through H1419 all that great H3372 and terrible H4057 wilderness H7200 which ye saw, H1870 by the way H2022 to the hill-country H567 of the Amorites, H3068 as Jehovah H430 our God H6680 commanded H935 us; and we came H6947 to Kadesh-barnea.

20 H559 And I said H935 unto you, Ye are come H2022 unto the hill-country H567 of the Amorites, H3068 which Jehovah H430 our God H5414 giveth unto us.

21 H7200 Behold, H3068 Jehovah H430 thy God H5414 hath set H776 the land H6440 before H5927 thee: go up, H3423 take possession, H3068 as Jehovah, H430 the God H1 of thy fathers, H1696 hath spoken H3372 unto thee; fear H2865 not, neither be dismayed.

22 H7126 And ye came near H559 unto me every one of you, and said, H7971 Let us send H582 men H6440 before H2658 us, that they may search H776 the land H7725 for us, and bring H1697 us word H7725 again H1870 of the way H5927 by which we must go up, H5892 and the cities H935 unto which we shall come.

23 H1697 And the thing H3190 pleased me well; H3947 and I took H8147 twelve H582 men H259 of you, one H376 man for every tribe:

24 H6437 and they turned H5927 and went up H2022 into the hill-country, H935 and came H5158 unto the valley H812 of Eshcol, H7270 and spied it out.

25 H3947 And they took H6529 of the fruit H776 of the land H3027 in their hands, H3381 and brought it down H7725 unto us, and brought H1697 us word H7725 again, H559 and said, H2896 It is a good H776 land H3068 which Jehovah H430 our God H5414 giveth unto us.

26 H14 Yet ye would H5927 not go up, H4784 but rebelled H6310 against the commandment H3068 of Jehovah H430 your God:

27 H7279 and ye murmured H168 in your tents, H559 and said, H3068 Because Jehovah H8135 hated H3318 us, he hath brought us forth H776 out of the land H4714 of Egypt, H5414 to deliver H3027 us into the hand H567 of the Amorites, H8045 to destroy us.

28 H5927 Whither are we going up? H251 our brethren H3824 have made our heart H4549 to melt, H559 saying, H5971 The people H1419 are greater H7311 and taller H5892 than we; the cities H1419 are great H1219 and fortified up H8064 to heaven; H7200 and moreover we have seen H1121 the sons H6062 of the Anakim there.

29 H559 Then I said H6206 unto you, Dread H3372 not, neither be afraid of them.

30 H3068 Jehovah H430 your God H1980 who goeth H6440 before H3898 you, he will fight H6213 for you, according to all that he did H4714 for you in Egypt H5869 before your eyes,

31 H4057 and in the wilderness, H7200 where thou hast seen H3068 how that Jehovah H430 thy God H5375 bare H376 thee, as a man H5375 doth bear H1121 his son, H1870 in all the way H1980 that ye went, H935 until ye came H4725 unto this place.

32 H1697 Yet in this thing H539 ye did not believe H3068 Jehovah H430 your God,

33 H1980 who went H6440 before H1870 you in the way, H8446 to seek you out H4725 a place H2583 to pitch your tents H784 in, in fire H3915 by night, H7200 to show H1870 you by what way H3212 ye should go, H6051 and in the cloud H3119 by day.
