Jeremiah 21:1-10 The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, when king Zedekiah sent to him Pashur the son of Melchiah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, saying,

1 H1697 The word H834 which H1961 came H3414 to Jeremiah H3068 from the LORD, H4428 when king H6667 Zedekiah H7971 sent H6583 to him Pashur H1121 the son H4441 of Melchiah, H6846 and Zephaniah H1121 the son H4641 of Maaseiah H3548 the priest, H559 saying,

2 H1875 Inquire, H4994 I pray H3068 you, of the LORD H5019 for us; for Nebuchadrezzar H4428 king H894 of Babylon H3898 makes war H5921 against H194 us; if H3068 so be that the LORD H6213 will deal H3605 with us according to all H6381 his wondrous H5927 works, that he may go up from us.

3 H559 Then said H3414 Jeremiah H3541 to them, Thus H559 shall you say H6667 to Zedekiah:

4 H3541 Thus H559 said H3068 the LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel; H2005 Behold, H5437 I will turn H5437 back H3627 the weapons H4421 of war H3027 that are in your hands, H834 with which H3898 you fight H4428 against the king H894 of Babylon, H3778 and against the Chaldeans, H6696 which besiege H2351 you without H2346 the walls, H622 and I will assemble H413 them into H8432 the middle H2063 of this H5892 city.

5 H589 And I myself H3898 will fight H5186 against you with an outstretched H3027 hand H2389 and with a strong H2220 arm, H639 even in anger, H2534 and in fury, H1419 and in great H7110 wrath.

6 H5221 And I will smite H3427 the inhabitants H2063 of this H5892 city, H120 both man H929 and beast: H4191 they shall die H1419 of a great H1698 pestilence.

7 H310 And afterward, H3651 H5002 said H3068 the LORD, H5414 I will deliver H6667 Zedekiah H4428 king H3063 of Judah, H5650 and his servants, H5971 and the people, H7604 and such as are left H2063 in this H5892 city H1698 from the pestilence, H2719 from the sword, H7458 and from the famine, H3027 into the hand H5019 of Nebuchadrezzar H4428 king H894 of Babylon, H3027 and into the hand H341 of their enemies, H3027 and into the hand H1245 of those that seek H5315 their life: H5221 and he shall smite H6310 them with the edge H2719 of the sword; H2347 he shall not spare H3808 them, neither H2550 have pity, H3808 nor H7355 have mercy.

8 H2088 And to this H5971 people H559 you shall say, H3541 Thus H559 said H3068 the LORD; H2005 Behold, H5414 I set H6440 before H1870 you the way H2416 of life, H1870 and the way H4194 of death.

9 H3427 He that stays H2063 in this H5892 city H4191 shall die H2719 by the sword, H7458 and by the famine, H1698 and by the pestilence: H3318 but he that goes H5307 out, and falls H3778 to the Chaldeans H6696 that besiege H2421 you, he shall live, H5315 and his life H7998 shall be to him for a prey.

10 H7760 For I have set H6440 my face H2063 against this H5892 city H7451 for evil, H2896 and not for good, H5002 said H3068 the LORD: H5414 it shall be given H3027 into the hand H4428 of the king H894 of Babylon, H8313 and he shall burn H784 it with fire.
