1 Kings 9:1-9

  1 H1961 And it came H8010 to pass, when Solomon H3615 had finished H1129 the building H1004 of the house H3068 of the LORD, H4428 and the king’s H1004 house, H3605 and all H8010 Solomon’s H2837 desire H834 which H2654 he was pleased H6213 to do,

  2 H3068 That the LORD H7200 appeared H8010 to Solomon H8145 the second H7200 time, as he had appeared H1391 to him at Gibeon.

  3 H3068 And the LORD H559 said H8085 to him, I have heard H8605 your prayer H8467 and your supplication, H6440 that you have made before H6942 me: I have hallowed H2088 this H1004 house, H834 which H1129 you have built, H7760 to put H8034 my name H8033 there H5769 for ever; H5869 and my eyes H3824 and my heart H8033 shall be there H3605 perpetually. H3117

  4 H518 And if H3212 you will walk H6440 before H1732 me, as David H1 your father H1980 walked, H8537 in integrity H3824 of heart, H3476 and in uprightness, H6213 to do H3605 according to all H6680 that I have commanded H8104 you, and will keep H2706 my statutes H4941 and my judgments:

  5 H6965 Then I will establish H3678 the throne H4467 of your kingdom H3478 on Israel H5769 for ever, H1696 as I promised H1732 to David H1 your father, H559 saying, H3772 There shall not fail H376 you a man H3678 on the throne H3478 of Israel.

  6 H518 But if H7725 you shall at all turn H310 from following H1121 me, you or your children, H8104 and will not keep H4687 my commandments H2708 and my statutes H834 which H5414 I have set H6440 before H1980 you, but go H5647 and serve H312 other H430 gods, H7812 and worship them:

  7 H3772 Then will I cut H3478 off Israel H127 out of the land H834 which H5414 I have given H1004 them; and this house, H834 which H6942 I have hallowed H8034 for my name, H7971 will I cast H6440 out of my sight; H3478 and Israel H4912 shall be a proverb H8148 and a byword H3605 among all H5971 people:

  8 H2088 And at this H1004 house, H5945 which is high, H3605 every H5674 one that passes H8074 by it shall be astonished, H8319 and shall hiss; H7725 and they shall say, H5921 Why H4100 H3068 has the LORD H6213 done H3602 thus H2063 to this H776 land, H2088 and to this H1004 house?

  9 H559 And they shall answer, H5921 Because H834 H5800 they forsook H3068 the LORD H430 their God, H834 who H3318 brought H3318 forth H1 their fathers H776 out of the land H4714 of Egypt, H2388 and have taken H2388 hold H312 on other H430 gods, H7812 and have worshipped H5647 them, and served H5921 them: therefore H3651 H3068 has the LORD H935 brought H3605 on them all H2063 this H7451 evil.
