ABU⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹⁹ Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those under the law; that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. ²⁰ Because by works of law no flesh shall be justified in his sight; for by law is the knowledge of sin. ²¹ But now, apart from law, a righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; ²² a righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ, unto all and upon all that believe; (for there is no difference; ²³ for all sinned, and come short of the glory of God;) ²⁴ being justified freely by his grace, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus; ²⁵ whom God set forth as a propitiation through faith by his blood, for the exhibition of his righteousness, because of the passing over of the sins before committed in the forbearance of God; ²⁶ for the exhibition of his righteousness in this present time, that he may be just, and the justifier of him who believes in Jesus. ²⁷ Where then is the boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? Of works? Nay; but by the law of faith. ²⁸ Therefore we reckon that a man is justified by faith apart from works of law. Is he the God of Jews only?
