Nehemiah 9:7-37

  8 G2532 And G2147 you found G3588   G2588 his heart G1473   G4103 trustworthy G1799 before G1473 you, G2532 and G1303 you ordained G4314 with G1473 him G1242 a covenant, G1325 so as to give G1473 to him G3588 the G1093 land G3588 of the G* Canaanites, G2532 and G* Hittites, G2532 and G* Amorites, G2532 and G* Perizzites, G2532 and G* Jebusites, G2532 and G* Girgashites, G2532 and G1325 to give G1473 it G3588 to G4690 his seed. G1473   G2532 And G2476 you established G3588   G3056 your words, G1473   G3754 for G1342 you are just. G1473  

  9 G2532 And G1492 you beheld G3588 the G5014 humiliation G3588   G3962 of our fathers G1473   G1722 in G* Egypt, G2532 and G3588   G2906 [²their cry G1473   G191 ¹you heard] G1909 at G2281 [²sea G2063 ¹ the red].

  14 G2532 And G3588   G4521 [³Sabbath G1473 ¹your G3588   G39 ²holy] G1107 you made known G1473 to them; G1785 commandments, G2532 and G4366.2 orders, G2532 and G3551 law, G1781 you gave charge G1473 to them G1722 by G5495 the hand G* of Moses G3588   G1401 your servant. G1473  

  15 G2532 And G740 bread G1537 from G3772 heaven G1325 you gave G1473 to them G1519 for G4619.3 their provision, G1473   G2532 and G5204 water G1537 from out of G4073 the rock G1627 you brought forth G1473 for them G1519 for G1371.2 their thirst.   16 G2532 But G1473 they G2532 and G3588   G3962 our fathers G1473   G5242.1 were prideful, G2532 and G4645 they hardened G3588   G5137 their neck, G1473   G2532 and G3756 they did not G191 hearken G3588   G1785 unto your commandments. G1473

G3588 The G4769 column G3588   G3507 of cloud G3756 did not G1578 turn aside G575 from G1473 them G2250 by day G3594 to guide G1473 them G1722 in G3588 the G3598 way; G2532 and G3588 the G4769 column G3588   G4442 of fire G3588   G3571 by night G5461 to give light G1473 to them G3588 in the G3598 way G1722 in G3739 which G4198 they went G1722 by G1473 it.

  20 G2532 And G3588   G4151 [³spirit G1473 ¹your G3588   G18 ²good] G1325 gave G4907.3 a bringing of understanding to G1473 them, G2532 and G3588   G3131 your manna G3756 you did not G879.1 withhold G575 from G4750 their mouth, G1473   G2532 and G5204 [²water G1325 ¹you gave] G1473 to them G1722 in G3588   G1373 their thirst. G1473  

  21 G2532 And G5062 forty G2094 years G1303.5 you nourished G1473 them G1722 in G3588 the G2048 wilderness, and G3756 [²lacked not G5302   G1473 ¹they] G3762 one thing; G2440 their garments G1473   G3756 did not G3822 become old, G2532 and G5266 their sandals G1473   G3756 were not G1284 torn up.

  22 G2532 And G1325 you gave G1473 them G932 kingdoms, G2532 and G2992 [²peoples G1266 ¹you divided] G1473 to them. G2532 And G2816 they inherited G3588 the G1093 land G* of Sihon G935 king G* of Heshbon, G2532 and G3588 the G1093 land G* of Og G935 king G3588   G* of Bashan.

  23 G2532 And G3588   G5207 their sons G1473   G4129 you multiplied G5613 as G3588 the G792 stars G3588 of the G3772 heaven, G2532 and G1521 brought G1473 them G1519 into G3588 the G1093 land G3739 which G2036 you spoke G3588 to G3962 their fathers, G1473   G3588   G1525 to enter G2532 and G2816 to inherit.

  24 G2532 And G1525 [²entered G5207 ¹their sons] G1473   G2532 and G2816 inherited G3588 the G1093 land. G2532 And G1625.3 you obliterated G1799 before G1473 them G3588 the G2730 ones dwelling G3588 the G1093 land G3588 of the G* Canaanites, G2532 and G1325 you gave G1473 them G1519 into G3588   G5495 their hands, G1473   G2532 even G3588   G935 their kings, G1473   G2532 and G3588 the G2992 peoples G3588 of the G1093 land, G4160 to do G1473 to them G5613 as G701 was pleasing G1799 before G1473 them.

  25 G2532 And G2638 they overtook G4172 [²cities G5308 ¹high], G2532 and G1093 [²land G4104.2 ¹a fertile]. G2532 And G2816 they inherited G3614 houses G4134 full G3956 of all G18 good things, G2978.1 and pits G2998 for quarrying, G290 vineyards G2532 and G1638 olive groves, G2532 and G3956 every G3586 tree G1034 of eatable things G1519 in G4128 multitude. G2532 And G2068 they ate, G2532 and G1705 were filled up, G2532 and G3044.1 were fattened, G2532 and G5171 indulged G1722 in G19 [³goodness G1473 ¹your G3588   G3173 ²great].

  26 G2532 And G236 they changed G2532 and G868 revolted G575 from G1473 you. G2532 And G4495 they tossed G3588   G3551 your law G1473   G3694 behind G4983 their body, G1473   G2532 and G3588   G4396 [²your prophets G1473   G615 ¹they killed], G3739 the ones G1263 testifying G1722 to G1473 them G1994 to turn G1473 them G4314 towards G1473 you. G2532 And G4160 they made G3950 [²provocations to anger G3173 ¹great].

  27 G2532 And G1325 you gave G1473 them G1722 into G5495 the hand G2346 of ones afflicting G1473 them, G2532 and G2346 they afflicted G1473 them. G2532 And G310 they yelled out G4314 to G1473 you G1722 in G2540 the time G2347 of their affliction, G1473   G2532 and G1473 you G1537 [²from out of G3772 ³your heaven G1473   G191 ¹heard], G2532 and G1722 in G3628 [³compassions G1473 ¹your G3588   G3173 ²great] G1325 you gave G1473 deliverers to them, G4990   G2532 and G4982 they delivered G1473 them G1537 from G5495 the hand G2346 of ones afflicting G1473 them.

  28 G2532 And G5613 as G373 they were caused to rest, G1994 they turned G4160 to act G3588   G4190 wickedly G1799 before G1473 you. G2532 And G1459 you abandoned G1473 them G1519 into G5495 the hands G2190 of their enemies, G1473   G2532 and G2677.1 they ruled G1722 among G1473 them. G2532 And G3825 again G310 they yelled out G4314 to G1473 you. G2532 And G1473 you G1537 from out of G3772 heaven G1522 listened G2532 and G4506 rescued G1473 them G1722 by G3628 [³compassions G1473 ¹your G4183 ²abundant].

  29 G2532 And G1957 you attested G1473 to them, G1994 to turn G1473 them G1519 to G3588   G3551 your law. G1473   G1473 But they G1161   G5242 acted superior, G2532 and G3756 hearkened not G191   G3588   G1785 of your commandments. G1473   G2532 And G1722 in G3588   G2917 your judgments G1473   G264 they sinned, G3739 (which G4160 [²doing G1473 ³them G444 ¹a man] G2198 shall live G1722 by G1473 them;) G2532 and G1325 they gave G3577 their back G544 unto resisting persuasion, G2532 and G5137 [²their neck G1473   G4645 ¹they hardened], G2532 and G3756 they did not G191 hearken.

  30 G2532 And G3114 you were long-suffering G1909 unto G1473 them G2094 [²years G4183 ¹many], G2532 and G1670 drew out patience G1909 unto G1473 them G2094 [²years G4183 ¹many], G2532 and G1957 attested G1473 to them G1722 by G4151 your spirit, G1473   G1722 by G5495 the hand G4396 of your prophets. G1473   G2532 But G3756 they did not G1801 give ear, G2532 and G1325 you gave G1473 them G1722 into G5495 the hand G2992 of the peoples G3588 of the G1093 land.

  31 G2532 And G1473 you, G1722 in G3628 [³compassions G1473 ¹your G3588   G4183 ²abundant] G3756 did not G4160 appoint G1473 them G1519 to G4930 consummation, G2532 and G3756 you did not G1459 abandon G1473 them; G3754 for G2478 you are strong, G1510.2.2   G2532 and G1655 merciful, G2532 and G3629 pitying.

  32 G2532 And G3568 now, G3588 O G2316 our God, G1473   G3588 the G2478 strong, G3588 the G3173 great, G3588 the G2900 fortified G2532 and G5398 fearsome; G5442 guarding G3588   G1242 your covenant, G1473   G2532 and G3588   G1656 your mercy; G1473   G3361 do not let G3642.1 your attention be lessened G1799 before G1473 you G3956 concerning all G3588 the G3449 trouble G3739 which G2147 found G1473 us, G2532 and G3588   G935 our kings, G1473   G2532 and G3588   G758 our rulers, G1473   G2532 and G3588   G2409 our priests, G1473   G2532 and G3588   G4396 our prophets, G1473   G2532 and G3588   G3962 our fathers, G1473   G2532 and G1722 among G3956 all G3588   G2992 your people G1473   G575 from G2250 the days G935 of the kings G* of Assyria, G2532 and G2193 until G3588   G2250 this day!   33 G2532 For G1473 you G1342 are just G1510.2.2   G1909 concerning G3956 all G3588 the G2064 things coming G1909 upon G1473 us, G3754 for G225 truth G4160 you acted, G2532 but G1473 we G1814.2 were led into sin.

  34 G2532 And G3588   G935 our kings, G1473   G2532 and G3588   G758 our rulers, G1473   G2532 and G3588   G2409 our priests, G1473   G2532 and G3588   G3962 our fathers G1473   G3756 observed not G4160   G3588   G3551 your law, G1473   G2532 and G3756 heeded not G4337   G3588   G1785 your commandments, G1473   G2532 and G3588   G3142 your testimonies G1473   G3739 which G1263 you testified G1473 to them.

  35 G2532 And G1473 they G1722 in G932 your kingdom, G1473   G2532 and G1722 in G19 [³goodness G1473 ¹your G3588   G4183 ²abundant] G3739 which G1325 you gave G1473 to them, G2532 and G1722 in G3588 the G1093 [⁴land G3588   G4116 ¹spacious G2532 ²and G3045 ³lustrous] G3739 which G1325 you put G1799 before G1473 them, G3756 did not G1398 serve G1473 you, G2532 and G3756 they did not G654 turn G575 from G2006.1 [³practices G1473 ¹their G3588   G4190 ²wicked].

  36 G2400 Behold, G1510.2.4 we are G4594 today G1401 servants, G2532 and G3588 the G1093 land G3739 which G1325 you gave G3588 to G3962 our fathers, G1473   G2068 to eat G3588 the G2590 fruit G1473 of it, G2532 and G3588 the G18 good things G1473 of it, G2532 even G2400 behold, G1510.2.4 we are G1401 servants G1909 upon G1473 it.

  37 G2532 And G3588   G2590 [³fruits G1473 ¹its G358   G4183 ²many] G1096 became G3588 to the G935 kings G3739 which G1325 you put G1909 over G1473 us G1722 because of G266 our sins; G1473   G2532 and G1909 [²over G3588   G4983 ³our bodies G1473   G1850 ¹they exercise authority], G2532 and G1722 over G2934 our cattle G1473   G5613 as G701 is pleasing G1473 to them, G2532 and G1722 [²in G2347 ⁴affliction G3173 ³great G1510.2.4 ¹we are].
