Matthew 13:1-17

  1 G1722 And in G1161   G3588   G2250 that day, G1565   G1831 Jesus having gone forth G3588   G*   G575 from G3588 the G3614 house, G2521 sat down G3844 by G3588 the G2281 sea.

  2 G2532 And G4863 were gathered together G4314 with G1473 him G3793 [²multitudes G4183 ¹great], G5620 so that G1473 he G1519 [²into G3588 ³the G4143 ⁴boat G1684 ¹having stepped] G2521 sat down; G2532 and G3956 all G3588 the G3793 multitude G1909 [²upon G3588 ³the G123 ⁴shore G2476 ¹stood].

  3 G2532 And G2980 he spoke G1473 to them G4183 many things G1722 in G3850 parables, G3004 saying, G2400 Behold, G1831 came forth G3588 the one G4687 sowing G3588   G4687 to sow.

  4 G2532 And G1722 in G3588   G4687 his sowing, G1473   G3739 some seed indeed G3303   G4098 fell G3844 by G3588 the G3598 way, G2532 and G2064 [³came G3588 ¹the G4071 ²birds] G2532 and G2719 ate them. G1473  

  5 G243 And others G1161   G4098 fell G1909 upon G3588 the G4075 rocky places, G3699 where G3756 it did not G2192 have G1093 [²earth G4183 ¹much]. G2532 And G2112 immediately G1816 it rose up, G1223 on account of G3588 the G3361 not G2192 having G899 a depth G1093 of earth.

  6 G2246 But the sun G1161   G393 having risen G2739 scorched it; G2532 and G1223 on account of G3588 the G3361 not G2192 having G4491 root G3583 it was dried up.

  7 G243 And others G1161   G4098 fell G1909 by G3588 the G173 thorn-bushes, G2532 and G305 [³ascended G3588 ¹the G173 ²thorn-bushes] G2532 and G638 choked G1473 them.

  8 G243 And others G1161   G4098 fell G1909 upon G3588 the G1093 [²earth G3588   G2570 ¹good], G2532 and G1325 yielded G2590 fruit; G3588 some G3303 indeed G1540 a hundred, G3739 and some G1161   G1835 sixty, G3588 and some G1161   G5144 thirty.

  9 G3588 The one G2192 having G3775 ears G191 to hear, G191 let him hear!

  10 G2532 And G4334 having come, G3588 the G3101 disciples G2036 said G1473 to him, G1302 Why G1722 in G3850 parables G2980 do you speak G1473 to them?

  11 G3588 And he G1161   G611 answering G2036 said G1473 to them G3754 that, G1473 To you G1325 has been given G1097 to know G3588 the G3466 mysteries G3588 of the G932 kingdom G3588 of the G3772 heavens, G1565 but to those G1161   G3756 it has not G1325 been given.

  12 G3748 For whosoever G1063   G2192 has, G1325 it shall be given G1473 to him, G2532 and G4052 he shall abound; G3748 but whosoever G1161   G3756 does not G2192 have, G2532 even G3739 what G2192 he has G142 shall be lifted G575 from G1473 him.

  13 G1223 On account of G3778 this G1722 [²in G3850 ³parables G1473 ¹I speak to them]. G2980   G3754 For G991 seeing G3756 they do not G991 see, G2532 and G191 hearing G3756 they do not G191 hear, G3761 nor G4920 perceive.

  14 G2532 And G378 is fulfilled G1909 by G1473 them G3588 the G4394 prophecy G* of Isaiah, G3588 the one G3004 saying, G189 Hearing G191 you shall hear, G2532 and G3766.2 in no way G4920 should you perceive; G2532 and G991 seeing G991 you shall see, G2532 and G3766.2 in no way G1492 should you know.

  15 G3975 [⁵was thickened G1063 ¹For G3588 ²the G2588 ³heart G3588   G2992 ⁴of this people], G3778   G2532 and G3588 with the G3775 ears G917 heavily G191 they heard, G2532 and G3588   G3788 [²of their eyes G1473   G2576 ¹they closed the eyelids]; G3379 lest at any time G1492 they should see G3588 with the G3788 eyes, G2532 and G3588 with the G3775 ears G191 should hear, G2532 and G3588 the G2588 heart G4920 should perceive, G2532 and G1994 they should turn, G2532 and G2390 I shall heal G1473 them.

  16 G1473 [³your G1161 ¹But G3107 ²blessed are] G3588   G3788 eyes, G3754 for G991 they see, G2532 and G3588   G3775 your ears, G1473   G3754 for G191 they hear.

  17 G281 For amen G1063   G3004 I say G1473 to you, G3754 that G4183 many G4396 prophets G2532 and G1342 just ones G1937 desired G1492 to behold G3739 what G991 you see, G2532 and G3756 beheld not; G1492   G2532 and G191 to hear G3739 what G191 you hear, G2532 and G3756 heard not. G191
