  2 G2532 And G2036 [³said G3588 ¹the G935 ²king] G4314 to G* Joab, G758 ruler G3588 of the G1411 forces G3588 of the ones G3326 with G1473 him, G4022 Go around G1211 indeed G3956 all G3588 the G5443 tribes G3588   G* of Israel G2532 and G* Judah, G575 from G* Dan G2532 and G2193 unto G* Beer-sheba, G2532 and G1980 number G3588 the G2992 people! G2532 and G1097 I shall know G3588 the G706 number G3588 of the G2992 people.

  3 G2532 And G2036 Joab said G*   G4314 to G3588 the G935 king, G2532 And G4369 may [³add G2962 ¹ the lord G3588   G2316 ²your God] G1473   G4314 to G3588   G2992 your people, G1473   G5618 as G2532 even G3778 these G1542.1 a hundred foldly, G2532 and G3588 the G3788 eyes G3588   G2962 of my master G1473   G3588 the G935 king G3708 seeing it -- G2532 but G3588   G2962 my master G1473   G3588 the G935 king, G2444 why G1014 do you want G1722 to do G3588   G3056 this matter?   12 G4198 Go G2532 and G2980 speak G4314 to G* David! G3004 saying, G3592 Thus G3004 says G2962 the lord, G5140 Three things G1473 I G142 lift G1909 unto G1473 you; G1586 you choose G4572 for yourself G1520 one G1537 of G1473 them! G2532 and G4160 I will execute G1473 against you.

  13 G2532 And G2064 Gad went G*   G4314 to G* David, G2532 and G312 he announced, G2532 and G2036 he said G1473 to him, G1586 Choose G4572 for yourself G1096 what is to be G1473 to you!   14 G2532 And G2036 David said G*   G4314 to G* Gad, G4728 [³narrow choice G1473 ⁴to me G4970 ²an exceedingly G1510.2.3 ¹It is] -- G3588 the G5140 three things . G1706 I shall fall G1519 into G3588 the G5495 hands G3588 of the G2962 lord, G3754 for G4183 [³great G3628 ¹his compassions G1473   G4970 ² are exceedingly], G1519 but into G1161   G3588 the G5495 hands G444 of men G3766.2 in no way G1706 shall I fall.

  15 G2532 And G1586 [²chose G1438 ³for himself G* ¹David] G3588   G2288 plague. G2532 And G1325 the lord appointed G2962   G2288 plague G1722 in G* Israel G575 from G4405.1 morning G2532 and G2193 unto G5610 the hour G712 of dinner. G2532 And G599 there died G1537 from out of G3588 the G2992 people G575 from G* Dan G2532 and G2193 unto G* Beer-sheba G1440 seventy G5505 thousand G435 men.

  16 G2532 And G1614 [³stretched out G3588 ¹the G32 ²angel] G3588   G5495 his hand G1473   G1519 to G* Jerusalem, G3588   G1311 to utterly destroy G1473 it. G2532 And G3870 the lord relented G2962   G1909 over G3588 the G2549 evil, G2532 and G2036 said G3588 to the G32 angel G3588   G1311 destroying G1722 among G3588 the G2992 people, G2425 Enough G3568 now, G447 spare G3588   G5495 your hand! G1473   G2532 And G3588 the G32 angel G3588 of the G2962 lord G1510.7.3 was G3844 by G3588 the G257 threshing-floor G* of Araunah G3588 the G* Jebusite.

  18 G2532 And G2064 Gad came G*   G4314 to G* David G1722 in G3588   G2250 that day, G1565   G2532 and G2036 said G1473 to him, G305 Ascend, G2532 and G2476 set up G3588   G2379 an altar G3588 to the G2962 lord G1722 in G3588 the G257 threshing-floor G* of Araunah G3588 the G* Jebusite!

  19 G2532 And G305 David ascended G*   G2596 according to G3588 the G4487 word G* of Gad G3588 the G4396 prophet, G3739 in which G5158 manner G1781 [²gave charge G1473 ³to him G2962 ¹ the lord].

  20 G2532 And G1253.1 Araunah looked, G*   G2532 and G1492 he beheld G3588 the G935 king, G2532 and G3588   G3816 his servants G1473   G3899 coming near G1909 unto G1473 him. G2532 And G1831 Araunah went forth, G*   G2532 and G4352 did obeisance to G3588 the G935 king G1909 upon G4383 his face G1473   G1909 upon G3588 the G1093 ground.

  21 G2532 And G2036 Araunah said, G*   G5100 For what reason G3754   G2064 comes G3588   G2962 my master G1473   G3588 the G935 king G4314 to G3588   G1401 his servant? G1473   G2532 And G2036 David said, G*   G2932 To acquire G3844 from G1473 you G3588 the G257 threshing-floor, G3588   G3618 to build G2379 an altar G2962 to the lord, G2532 so that G4912 [⁵should be constrained G3588   G2351.5 ¹ the devastation G1883 ²upon G3588 ³the G2992 ⁴people].

  22 G2532 And G2036 Araunah said G*   G4314 to G* David, G2983 Take it G2532 and G399 offer, G3588   G2962 O my master G1473   G3588 the G935 king, G3588 to the G2962 lord G3588 what is G18 good G1722 in G3788 your eyes! G1473   G2400 Behold, G3588 the G1016 oxen G1519 are for G3646 a whole burnt-offering, G2532 and G3588 the G5164 wheels, G2532 and G3588 the G4632 items G3588 of the G1016 oxen G1519 are for G3586 wood.

  23 G3588 The G3956 whole amount G1325 Araunah gave G*   G3588 to the G935 king. G2532 And G2036 Araunah said G*   G4314 to G3588 the G935 king, G2962 The lord G3588   G2316 your God, G1473   G2127 may he bless G1473 you.

  24 G2532 And G2036 [³said G3588 ¹the G935 ²king] G4314 to G* Araunah, G3780 Not so, G3754 but only G237.1   G2932 by acquiring G2932 shall I acquire it G3844 from G1473 you G1722 for G235.1 a price, G2532 for G3756 I shall not offer G399   G2962 to the lord G2316 my God G1473   G3646 a whole burnt-offering G1431 without paying a charge. G2532 And G2932 David acquired G*   G3588 the G257 threshing-floor, G2532 and G3588 the G1016 oxen G1722 with G694 [²silver G4608.2 ³shekels G4004 ¹fifty].

  25 G2532 And G3618 [²built G1563 ³there G* ¹David] G2379 an altar G3588 to the G2962 lord, G2532 and G399 he offered G3646.1 whole burnt-offerings, G2532 and G1516 peace offerings . G2532 And G1873 the lord heeded G2962   G3588 the G1093 land, G2532 and G4912 held up G3588 the G2351.5 devastation G1883.1 on top G* of Israel.
