  2 G2532 And G4160 he did G3588 the G4190 wicked thing G1722 in G3788 the eyes G2962 of the lord, G2532 and G4198 went G3694 after G3588 the G266 sins G* of Jeroboam G5207 son G* of Nebat, G3739 who G1814.2 led Israel into sin. G3588   G*   G3756 He did not G868 abstain G575 from G1473 them.

  3 G2532 And G3710 [²was provoked in anger G2372 ³to rage G2962 ¹ the lord] G1909 against G3588   G* Israel. G2532 And G2036 he said, G956 The arrow G4991 of deliverance G3588   G2962 of the lord, G2532 and G956 the arrow G4991 of deliverance G1722 in G* Syria. G2532 And G3960 you shall strike G3588   G* Syria G1722 in G* Aphek G2193 until G4930 completion.

  18 G2532 And G2036 [²said G1473 ³to him G* ¹Elisha], G2983 Take G956 arrows! G2532 And G2983 he took. G2532 And G2036 he said G3588 to the G935 king G* of Israel, G3960 Strike G1519 against G3588 the G1093 ground! G2532 And G3960 he struck G5151 three times G2532 and G2476 stopped.

  20 G2532 And G* Elisha G599 died, G2532 and G2290 they entombed G1473 him. G2532 And G3439.1 armed bands G* of Moab G2064 came G1722 in G3588 the G1093 land G2064 at the coming G3588 of the G1763 year.

  22 G2532 And G* Hazael G935 king G* of Syria G1570.2 squeezed against G3588   G* Israel G3956 all G3588 the G2250 days G* of Jehoahaz.

  23 G2532 And G1653 the lord showed mercy G2962   G1473 on them, G2532 and G3627 pitied G1473 them, G2532 and G1914 looked G4314 upon G1473 them G1223 on account of G3588   G1242 his covenant, G1473   G3588 the one G3326 with G* Abraham, G2532 and G* Isaac, G2532 and G* Jacob. G2532 And G3756 [²did not G2309 ³want G2962 ¹ the lord] G1311 to utterly destroy G1473 them, G2532 and G3756 he did not G641 throw G1473 them G575 from G3588   G4383 his face G1473   G2193 until G3568 now.

  24 G2532 And G599 [⁴died G* ¹Hazael G935 ²king G* ³of Syria], G2532 and G936 [⁴reigned G5207 ¹ the son G* ²of Hadad G5207 ³his son] G1473   G473 instead of G1473 him.

  25 G2532 And G1994 [⁴returned G* ¹Joash G5207 ²son G* ³of Jehoahaz] G2532 and G2983 took G3588 the G4172 city G1537 from out of G5495 the hand G5207 of the son G* of Hadad, G5207 son G* of Hazael, G3739 the ones who G2983 took it G1537 from out of G5495 the hand G* of Jehoahaz G3588   G3962 his father G1473   G1722 in G3588 the G4171 war. G5151 Three times G3960 [²struck G1473 ³him G* ¹Joash], G2532 and G654 he returned G3588 the G4172 cities G* of Israel.
