1 Samuel 23

  1 G2532 And G518 they reported G3588 to G* David, G3004 saying, G2400 Behold, G3588 the G246 Philistines G4170 wage war G1722 in G3588   G* Keilah, G2532 and G1473 they G1283 tear in pieces G3588 the G257 threshing-floors.

  2 G2532 And G1905 David asked G*   G1223 of G3588 the G2962 lord, G3004 saying, G1487 Shall G4198 I go G2532 and G3960 strike G3588   G246 these Philistines? G3778   G2532 And G2036 the lord said G2962   G4314 to G* David, G4198 Go! G2532 and G3960 you shall strike G3588 the G246 Philistines, G3778   G2532 and G4982 you shall deliver G3588   G* Keilah.

  3 G2532 And G2036 [⁴said G3588 ¹the G435 ²men G3588   G* ³of David] G4314 to G1473 him, G2400 Behold, G1473 we G1778.2 here G1722 in G3588   G* Judea G5399 fear. G2532 And G4459 how G1510.8.3 will it be G1437 if G4198 we should go G1519 into G* Keilah G1519 unto G3588 the G2835.1 valleys G3588 of the G246 Philistines?

  4 G2532 And G4369 David proceeded G*   G2089 yet G1905 to ask G1223 of G3588 the G2962 lord . G2532 And G611 [²answered G1473 ³him G2962 ¹ the lord], G2532 and G2036 said G4314 to G1473 him, G450 Rise up G2532 and G2597 go down G1519 unto G* Keilah! G3754 for G1473 I G3860 deliver up G3588 the G246 Philistines G1519 into G5495 your hands. G1473  

  5 G2532 And G4198 David went, G*   G2532 and G3588 the G435 men, G3588 the ones G3326 with G1473 him, G1519 unto G* Keilah. G2532 And G4170 he waged war against G3588 the G246 Philistines, G2532 and G5343 they fled G1537 from G4383 his face. G1473   G2532 And G520 he took away G3588   G2934 their cattle, G1473   G2532 and G3960 he struck G1473 them G4127 [²beating G3173 ¹with a great]. G2532 And G4982 David delivered G*   G3588 the G2730 ones dwelling G* in Keilah.

  6 G2532 And G1096 it came to pass G1722 in G3588 the G5343 fleeing G* of Abiathar G3588 the G5207 son G* of Ahimelech G4314 to G* David G1519 in G* Keilah, G2597 he came down G2192 having G2186.5 an ephod G1722 in G3588   G5495 his hand. G1473  

  7 G2532 And G518 it was reported G3588   G* to Saul G3754 that G2240 David was come G1519 to G* Keilah. G2532 And G2036 Saul said, G*   G4097 [²has sold G1473 ³him G3588   G2316 ¹God] G1519 into G3588   G5495 my hands, G1473   G3754 for G608 he is locked up, G1525 having entered G1519 into G4172 a city G2374 of doors G2532 and G3449.2 bars.

  10 G2532 And G2036 David said, G*   G2962 O lord, G3588 the G2316 God G* of Israel, G191 in hearing G191 hearken to G3588   G1401 your servant! G1473   G3754 for G2212 Saul seeks G*   G2064 to come G1519 against G* Keilah, G1311 to utterly destroy G3588 the G4172 city G1223 on account of G1473 me.

  11 G1487 Shall G608 it be locked up? G2532 And G3568 now, G1487 shall G2597 Saul come down G*   G2531 as G191 [²heard G3588   G1401 ¹your servant], G1473   G2962 O lord, G3588 the G2316 God G* of Israel? G518 Report G3588 to G1401 your servant! G1473   G2532 And G2036 the lord said, G2962   G2597 It shall be locked up.

  12 G2532 And G2036 David said, G*   G1487 Shall [⁴deliver up G3860   G3588 ¹the ones G575 ²from G3588   G* ³Keilah] G1473 me G2532 and G3588   G435 my men G1473   G1519 into G5495 the hand G* of Saul? G2532 And G2036 the lord said, G2962   G3860 They shall deliver up.

  13 G2532 And G450 David rose up, G*   G2532 and G3588   G435 his men -- G1473   G5613 about G1812 eight hundred. G2532 And G1831 they went forth G1537 from G* Keilah, G2532 and G4198 went G3739 where G302 ever G4198 they could go. G2532 And G518 it was reported G3588 to G* Saul G3754 that G1295 David went safe G*   G1537 from G* Keilah, G2532 and G447 he spared G3588   G1831 to come forth.

  14 G2532 And G2523 David stayed G*   G1722 in G3588 the G2048 wilderness, G1722 in G3588 the G4728 narrow passes, G2532 and G2521 settled G1722 in G3588 the G3735 mountain, G1722 in G3588 the G2048 wilderness G* of Ziph.   19 G2532 And G305 [³ascended up G3588 ¹the G* ²Ziphites] G4314 to G* Saul, G1909 unto G3588 the G1015 hill, G3004 saying, G3756 Behold is not G2400   G* David G2928 hid G3844 by G1473 us G1722 in G3588 the G4728 narrows, G1722 in G3588   G2537 New, G1722 in G3588 the G1015 hill G3588   G* of Hachilah, G3588 of the place G1537 at G1188 the right G3588   G* of Jeshimon?

  20 G2532 And G3568 now, G3956 every desire G3588   G4314 of G3588 the G5590 soul G3588 of the G935 king, G1519 [²into G2600 ³ the descent G2597 ¹let him go down] G4314 to G1473 us! G601 They are being uncovered G1510.2.6   G1519 into G3588 the G5495 hands G3588 of the G935 king.

  23 G2532 And G1492 look G2532 and G1097 know G1537 of G3956 all G3588 the G5117 places G3699 where G1473 he G2928 hides G1563 there! G2532 And G1994 return G4314 to G1473 me G1519 at G2092 ready!
