1 Chronicles 10:1-12

  1 G2532 And G246 the Philistines G4170 waged war G4314 against G3588   G* Israel; G2532 and G5343 [³fled G435 ¹ every man G* ²of Israel] G575 from G4383 the face G246 of the Philistines, G2532 and G4098 they fell G5134.1 slain G1722 in G3735 mount G* Gilboa.

  2 G2532 And G2614 [³pursued G3588 ¹the G246 ²Philistines] G3694 after G* Saul, G2532 and G3694 after G3588   G5207 his sons; G1473   G2532 and G3960 [³struck G3588 ¹the G246 ²Philistines] G3588   G* Jonathan, G2532 and G3588   G* Abinadab, G2532 and G3588   G* Malchi-shua, G5207 sons G* of Saul.

  3 G2532 And G925 [³pressed G3588 ¹the G4171 ²battle] G1909 against G* Saul, G2532 and G2147 [³found G1473 ⁴him G3588 ¹the G5115.1 ²bowmen] G1722 with G5115 the bows, G2532 and G4192 he was in miseries G2532 and G4188.1 suffering pain G575 from G3588 the G5115 bows.

  4 G2532 And G2036 Saul said G1473   G3588 to the G142 one carrying G3588   G4632 his weapons, G1473   G4685 Unsheathe G3588   G4501 your broadsword, G1473   G2532 and G1574 stab G1473 me G1722 with G1473 it! G3379 lest at any time G2064 [³come G3588   G564 ²uncircumcised G3778 ¹these] G2532 and G1702 mock G1473 me. G2532 But G3756 [⁴would not G1014   G3588 ¹the one G142 ²carrying G3588   G4632 ³his weapons], G1473   G3754 for G5399 he feared G4970 exceedingly.   6 G2532 And G599 Saul died, G*   G2532 and G3588   G5140 [²three G5207 ³sons G1473 ¹his]; G2532 and G3650 all G3588   G3624 his house G1473   G3661 [²in one accord G599 ¹died].

  7 G2532 And G1492 [⁷beheld G3956 ¹every G435 ²man G* ³of Israel G3588   G1722 ⁴in G3588 ⁵the G2835.1 ⁶valley] G3754 that G5343 Israel fled, G*   G2532 and G3754 that G599 Saul died G*   G2532 and G3588   G5207 his sons, G1473   G2532 and G2641 they left G3588   G4172 their cities G1473   G2532 and G5343 fled. G2532 And G2064 [³came G3588 ¹the G246 ²Philistines] G2532 and G2730 dwelt G1722 in G1473 them.

  8 G2532 And G1096 it came to pass G3588 in the G1887 next day G2064 [²came G3588   G246 ¹ the Philistines] G3588   G4659.1 to despoil G3588 the G5134.1 slain, G2532 and G2147 they found G3588   G* Saul G2532 and G3588   G5207 his sons G1473   G4098 having fallen G1722 on G3588   G3735 mount G* Gilboa.

  9 G2532 And G1562 they stripped G1473 him, G2532 and G142 they carried away G3588   G2776 his head, G1473   G2532 and G3588   G4632 his weapons. G1473   G2532 And G1821 [³sent G3588 ¹the G246 ²Philistines] G1519 to G1093 the land G2945 round about G3588   G2097 to announce good news G1722 in G3588 the G3624 houses G3588   G1497 of their idols, G1473   G2532 and G3588 to G2992 their people. G1473  

  10 G2532 And G5087 they put G3588   G4632 his weapons G1473   G1722 in G3624 the house G3588   G2316 of their god, G1473   G2532 and G3588   G2776 his head G1473   G4078 they pinned G1722 in G3588 the G3624 house G* of Dagon.

  11 G2532 And G191 [⁶heard G3956 ¹all G3588 ²the ones G2730 ³dwelling in G* ⁴Jabesh G* ⁵Gilead] G3956 all G3739 what G4160 [³did G3588 ¹the G246 ²Philistines] G3588   G* to Saul G2532 and G3588 to G5207 his sons, G1473   G2532 and G3588   G* to Israel.

  12 G2532 And G450 [⁶rose up G1537 ⁴from out of G* ⁵Gilead G3956 ¹every G435 ³man G1415 ²mighty], G2532 and G2064 they came G2532 and G2983 took G3588 the G4983 body G* of Saul, G2532 and G3588 the G4983 bodies G3588   G5207 of his sons, G1473   G2532 and G5342 they brought G1473 them G1519 into G* Jabesh, G2532 and G2290 they entombed G3588   G3747 their bones G1473   G5259 under G3588 the G1409.2 oak G1722 in G* Jabesh, G2532 and G3522 they fasted G2033 seven G2250 days.
