* Note: This form, the 1st person singular and the plural of the present tense of an Anglo-Saxon verb witan, to see" or "to know" (for the past tense cp. WIST), is a rendering of(1) oida, "to know," in Acts 3:17; Acts 7:40; Romans 11:2 (See KNOW, No. 2);
(2) gnorizo, "to come to know," in Philippians 1:22 (See KNOW, No. 8).
