at all times, always" (akin to pas, "all"), is translated "ever" in Luke 15:31; John 18:20; 1 Thessalonians 4:17; 1 Thessalonians 5:15; 2 Timothy 3:7; Hebrews 7:25; "evermore" in John 6:34; in 1 Thessalonians 5:16, RV, "alway," for AV, "evermore." It there means "on all occasions," as, e.g., 1 Thessalonians 1:2; 1 Thessalonians 3:6; 1 Thessalonians 5:15; 2 Thessalonians 1:3, 2 Thessalonians 1:11; 2 Thessalonians 2:13. See ALWAYS.
