¹² And coming to the house salute it, ¹³ and if indeed the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it; and if it be not worthy, let your peace turn back to you. ¹⁴ `And whoever may not receive you nor hear your words, coming forth from that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet, ¹⁵ verily I say to you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city.

¹ And all the tax-gatherers and the sinners were coming nigh to him, to hear him, ² and the Pharisees and the scribes were murmuring, saying—This one doth receive sinners, and doth eat with them.' ³ And he spake unto them this simile, saying, ⁴ `What man of you having a hundred sheep, and having lost one out of them, doth not leave behind the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go on after the lost one, till he may find it? <sup>5</sup> and having found, he doth lay it on his shoulders rejoicing, <sup>6</sup> and having come to the house, he doth call together the friends and the neighbours, saying to them, Rejoice with me, because I found my sheep—the lost one. <sup>7</sup> `I say to you, that so joy shall be in the heaven over one sinner reforming, rather than over ninety-nine righteous men, who have no need of reformation.

¹¹ and now, I did write to you not to keep company with him, if any one, being named a brother, may be a whoremonger, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—with such a one not even to eat together; ¹² for what have I also those without to judge? those within do ye not judge? ¹³ and those without God doth judge; and put ye away the evil from among yourselves.

⁸ for by grace ye are having been saved, through faith, and this not of you—of God the gift, ⁹ not of works, that no one may boast;

⁶ And we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to withdraw yourselves from every brother disorderly walking, and not after the deliverance that ye received from us,

¹ `Judge not, that ye may not be judged, <sup>2</sup> for in what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged, and in what measure ye measure, it shall be measured to you. <sup>3</sup> `And why dost thou behold the mote that is in thy brother's eye, and the beam that is in thine own eye dost not consider? ⁴ or, how wilt thou say to thy brother, Suffer I may cast out the mote from thine eye, and lo, the beam is in thine own eye? ⁵ Hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then thou shalt see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

¹⁵ `And if thy brother may sin against thee, go and show him his fault between thee and him alone, if he may hear thee, thou didst gain thy brother;

²⁸ And he said unto them, `Ye know how it is unlawful for a man, a Jew, to keep company with, or to come unto, one of another race, but to me God did shew to call no man common or unclean;

¹ Whoredom is actually heard of among you, and such whoredom as is not even named among the nations—as that one hath the wife of the father! — ² and ye are having been puffed up, and did not rather mourn, that he may be removed out of the midst of you who did this work, ³ for I indeed, as being absent as to the body, and present as to the spirit, have already judged, as being present, him who so wrought this thing: ⁴ in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ—ye being gathered together, also my spirit—with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, ⁵ to deliver up such a one to the Adversary for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. ⁶ Not good is your glorying; have ye not known that a little leaven the whole lump doth leaven?
⁷ cleanse out, therefore, the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, according as ye are unleavened, for also our passover for us was sacrificed—Christ, ⁸ so that we may keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of evil and wickedness, but with unleavened food of sincerity and truth.
⁹ I did write to you in the epistle, not to keep company with whoremongers— ¹⁰ and not certainly with the whoremongers of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, seeing ye ought then to go forth out of the world— ¹¹ and now, I did write to you not to keep company with him, if any one, being named a brother, may be a whoremonger, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—with such a one not even to eat together; ¹² for what have I also those without to judge? those within do ye not judge? ¹³ and those without God doth judge; and put ye away the evil from among yourselves.

¹⁹ not avenging yourselves, beloved, but give place to the wrath, for it hath been written, `Vengeance is Mine,

¹¹ for he who is saying to him, `Hail,' hath fellowship with his evil works.

¹⁴ and if any one do not obey our word through the letter, this one note ye, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed,

¹ Brethren, if a man also may be overtaken in any trespass, ye who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of meekness, considering thyself—lest thou also may be tempted;

⁹ have ye not known that the unrighteous the reign of God shall not inherit? be not led astray; neither whoremongers, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor sodomites, ¹⁰ nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, the reign of God shall inherit. ¹¹ And certain of you were these! but ye were washed, but ye were sanctified, but ye were declared righteous, in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

¹⁰ if any one doth come unto you, and this teaching doth not bear, receive him not into the house, and say not to him, `Hail!'

⁹ and foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about law, stand away from—for they are unprofitable and vain. ¹⁰ A sectarian man, after a first and second admonition be rejecting, ¹¹ having known that he hath been subverted who is such, and doth sin, being self-condemned.

¹¹ and now, I did write to you not to keep company with him, if any one, being named a brother, may be a whoremonger, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—with such a one not even to eat together;

¹⁷ And I call upon you, brethren, to mark those who the divisions and the stumbling-blocks, contrary to the teaching that ye did learn, are causing, and turn ye away from them;
