¹⁴ For if ye forgive men their faults, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: ¹⁵ but if ye forgive not men their transgressions, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

⁶ Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.

³⁴ Jesus answered them, Verily, verily I say unto you, whosoever maketh a practice of sin, is the servant of sin.

¹⁹ What! know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, which is in you, which ye have from God? ²⁰ and ye are not your own, for ye are bought with a price. Glorify God therefore in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

¹⁶ Confess your faults one to another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed: the fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

¹ Now faith is the confident expectation of things hoped for, and a conviction of things not seen:

⁹ If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness:

⁵ and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the first-born from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

¹² For our conflict is not with flesh and blood only, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the world and of the darkness of this age, against wicked spirits in heavenly places.

¹ Beloved, believe not every Spirit, but try the spirits, whether they be of God: for many false prophets are gone out into the world.

¹ As to what remains therefore, my brethren, we intreat and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received instructions from us, how ye ought to walk and to please God, ye would abound therein more and more. ² For ye know what commandments we gave you from the Lord Jesus. ³ For this is the will of God, even your sanctification: that ye should abstain from fornication, ⁴ and that every one of you should possess his vessel in sanctification and honor, ⁵ not in the passion of lust, like the heathens who know not God. ⁶ That no one over-reach, or wrong his brother in any thing: because the Lord is an avenger of all such crimes, as we also told you before, and testified to you. ⁷ For God hath not called us to impurity, but to holiness. ⁸ He therefore who rejecteth us, rejecteth not man, but God; who hath given us his holy Spirit. ⁹ But as to brotherly love, ye need not that I write unto you; for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another. ¹⁰ And indeed ye do it to all the brethren, that are in all Macedonia; but we exhort you, brethren, to abound in it more and more: ¹¹ and endeavour to be quiet, and mind your own affairs, and work with your own hands, ¹² as we gave you in charge, that ye may walk decently toward those that are without, and may have need of no one's assistance. ¹³ But I would not have you ignorant, my brethren, concerning those that are fallen asleep, that ye may not be grieved like others who have no hope: ¹⁴ for if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so also those, that sleep in Jesus, will God bring with Him. ¹⁵ For this we tell you in the word of the Lord, that we who shall be living and remain to the coming of the Lord, shall not be before those that are asleep. ¹⁶ For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with acclamation, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first; ¹⁷ then we who are living and remain, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we for ever be with the Lord. ¹⁸ Therefore comfort one another with these words.

¹³ No temptation has yet taken you but what is common to man: and God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above what ye are able to sustain; but will with the temptation also make a way of escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

² And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may experience what is the good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.

¹³ Take therefore the complete armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand. ¹⁴ Stand therefore having your loins girt about with truth, and putting on the breast-plate of righteousness: ¹⁵ and having your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace: ¹⁶ over all taking the shield of faith, whereby ye will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one: ¹⁷ take also the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: ¹⁸ praying at all seasons with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance, and intercession for all the saints;

⁴ (for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the demolishing of bulwarks:)

³ For though we are in the flesh, we do not carry on our war according to the flesh: ⁴ (for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the demolishing of bulwarks:) ⁵ destroying false reasonings, and every height that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and captivating every thought to the obedience of Christ.
