³³ But seek ye first His Kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.

² Consider it all joy, my brethren, when ye fall in with manifold temptations; ³ knowing that the proving of your faith establishes patience. ⁴ And let patience have a perfect work; that ye may be perfect and entire, lacking in nothing.

⁶ Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer each one.

¹ But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come; ² for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, ³ without natural affection, implacable, slanderers, intemperate, fierce, no lovers of good, ⁴ traitors, reckless, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; ⁵ holding a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from these also turn away. ⁶ For of these are those who creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, and led on by manifold desires, ⁷ always learning, and never able to come to the full knowledge of the truth. ⁸ And as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so also do these withstand the truth; men utterly corrupted in mind, disapproved concerning the faith. ⁹ But they will proceed no further; for their folly will be fully manifest to all, as theirs also became. ¹⁰ But you did closely follow my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, ¹¹ persecutions, sufferings; what manner of things happened to me in Antioch, in Iconium, in Lystra; what persecutions I endured, and out of them all the Lord delivered me. ¹² Yea, and all who wish to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. ¹³ But evil men and imposters will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. ¹⁴ But do you abide in the, things which you learned and were assured of; knowing from whom you learned them; ¹⁵ and that, from a babe, you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith that is in Christ Jesus. ¹⁶ Every Scripture inspired of God is also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; ¹⁷ that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly furnished for every good work.
