¹⁹ "Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through, and steal; ²⁰ but lay up for yourselves treasures in Heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes, and where theives do not break through, nor steal; ²¹ for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

²⁴ "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or he will hold to one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and Mammon.

¹³ No domestic can serve two lords; for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or he will hold to one, and despise the other: ye cannot serve God and mammon."

¹⁰ For the love of money is a root of all the evils; which some reaching after wandered away from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

¹⁹ But my God will liberally supply all your need according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.

¹⁷ Charge those who are rich in this present age, not to be high-minded, nor to have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, Who giveth us richly all things for enjoyment; ¹⁸ that they do good, that they be rich in good works, free to impart, liberal; ¹⁹ treasuring up for themselves a good foundation for the future, that they may lay hold on that which is really life.
