Bible verses about "rudeness" | Whiston

John 15:6

6 If any one abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and they gather it, and cast [it] into the fire, and it is burned.

Galatians 6:2

2 Bear ye one another's burdens, andso fulfil the law of Christ.

1 Timothy 2:1-15

1 Exhort therefore, that first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks be made for all men: 2 For kings, and for all that are in supreme authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in godliness and honestly. 3 For this [is] good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour: 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For [there is] one God, and one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all; whose testimony was given in his own times. 7 Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, I speak the truth, I lie not, a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity. 8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and disputings. 9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety: not with broidered hair, and gold, or pearle, or costly array; 10 But, which becometh women professing godliness, with good employments. 11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. 15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in child-bearing, if they continue in faith and charity, and holiness with sobriety.

James 3:6

6 And the tongue [is] a fire; a world of iniquity, [so] is the tongue amongst our members, It defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of gehenna.

1 Peter 2:1-25

1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and evil-speakings, 2 As newborn babes desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby unto salvation: 3 If ye have tasted that the Lord [is] gracious. 4 To whom coming, a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, precious, 5 Ye also as lively stones, are built upon them a spiritual house, unto an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. 6 Wherefore alsoit is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. 7 Unto you therefore who believe [he is] precious: but unto them who be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner. 8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, who stumble at the word, being disobedient, whereunto also they were appointed. 9 But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the virtues of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 10 Who in time past [were] not a people, but [are] now the people of God: who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. 11 Dearly beloved, I beseech [you] as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshy lusts, which war against the soul; 12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by the good works which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation. 13 Submit your selves to every human creature for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; 14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him, for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. 15 For so is the will of God, that with well-doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: 16 As free, and not using liberty for a cloke of wickedness; but as the servants of God. 17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king. 18 Servants, [be] subject to masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward. 19 For this [is] thank-worthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. 20 For what glory [is it],if when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if when ye do well, and suffer, ye take it patiently; for this [is] acceptable with God. 21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that ye should follow his steps: 22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: 23 Who when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatned not; but committed [himself] to him that judgeth righteously; 24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we being dead to our sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose wound ye were healed. 25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

1 Corinthians 13:1-13

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 2 And though I have prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have no charity, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. 4 Charity suffereth long, [and] is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not it self, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave it self unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil, 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth: 7 Covereth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 8 Charity never faileth: but whether prophecies, they shall fail; whether tongues, they shall cease; whether knowledge, it shall vanish away. 9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect is come, that which is in part shall be done away. 11 Truly when I was an infant, I spake as an infant, I understood as an infant, I reasoned as an infant: When I became a man, I put away the things of an infant. 12 Now we see through a glass darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. 13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these [is] charity.

Matthew 5:22

22 But I say unto you, that whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause, shall be lyable to the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be lyable to the sanhedrim: but whosoever shalt say, Thou fool, shall be lyable to gehenna of fire.
