³⁸ But Peter saith unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

⁶ Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

⁹ But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the virtues of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

¹⁰ But the God of all Grace, who hath called you unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, will make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you].

⁷ For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

¹⁶ Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and appointed you, that you should go and bring forth much fruit, and your fruit should remain; that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

²⁶ Therefore ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise Men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble [are chosen]. ²⁷ But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world, to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

¹ I therefore the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you, that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

⁴ One body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

¹¹ Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of [this] calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of [his] goodness, and the work of faith with power: ¹² That the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of God, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

⁴ For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:

²⁹ For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

¹⁰ Wherefore the rather, Brethren, give diligence that by your good works you may make your comfort and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall not fall:

¹ I therefore the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you, that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, ² With all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, forbearing one another in love; ³ Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit, in the bond of peace.
