²⁹ Let no corrupt discourse proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good, to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace to the hearers. ³⁰ And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. ³¹ Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil-speaking be put away from you with all malice. ³² And be ye kind one to another, tender-hearted; forgiving one another; as God also for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

¹⁴ For all the law is fulfilled in one word, in this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

¹⁷ Charge the rich in this world not to be high-minded, neither to trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy: ¹⁸ To do good, to be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate, ¹⁹ Treasuring up for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

⁵ For this very reason giving all diligence, add to your faith courage, ⁶ and to courage knowledge, And to knowledge temperance, and to temperance patience, ⁷ and to patience godliness, And to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.

¹⁵ See that none render to any man evil for evil, but ever follow that which is good, both to one another and to all men.

¹² This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you. ¹³ No one hath greater love than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. ¹⁴ Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. I no longer call you servants,

³ Do nothing through strife or vain-glory, but in lowliness of mind, esteem each the others better than themselves.

⁸ Finally, Be ye all of one mind, sympathizing with each other, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:

³⁵ But love ye your enemies, and do good and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be sons of the Highest; for he is kind to the unthankful and the evil.

⁴ Look not every one at his own things, but every one also at the things of others.
