²¹ Jesus said to him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell what thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

Verily, I say to you, they have their reward. ³ But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: ⁴ That thy alms may be in secret; and thy Father who seeth in secret, himself will reward thee openly.
