¹¹ Asa cried to Yahweh his God, and said, “Yahweh, there is no one besides you to help, between the mighty and him who has no strength. Help us, Yahweh our God; for we rely on you, and in your name are we come against this multitude. Yahweh, you are our God. Don’t let man prevail against you.”

¹⁷ The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.

¹⁶ I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever:

¹⁸ There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love.

⁴ Behold, God is my helper. The Lord is the one who sustains my soul.

⁷ Yahweh is on my side among those who help me. Therefore I will look in triumph at those who hate me.

⁵ Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this:

¹ A Song of Ascents. I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? ² My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth. ³ He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber. ⁴ Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. ⁵ Yahweh is your keeper. Yahweh is your shade on your right hand. ⁶ The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. ⁷ Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. ⁸ Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more.

¹⁴ If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.

⁵ Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. ⁶ In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

³⁵ Therefore don’t throw away your boldness, which has a great reward.

¹⁴ Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still.”

¹⁰ Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
