⁵ Trust in the LORD with all of your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding. ⁶ In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.

¹⁰ All of you that love the LORD, hate evil: he perserves the souls of his saints; he delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.

⁷ Nevertheless in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

⁴⁸ He that rejects me, and receives not my words, (o. rhema) has one that judges him: the word (o. logos) that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

⁴ He that says, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

⁷ Casting all your care upon him; for he cares for you. ⁸ Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour:

⁶ These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. ⁷ And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

⁸ Again, the devil takes him up into an exceeding high mountain, and shows him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; ⁹ And says unto him, All these things will I give you, if you will fall down and worship me.

⁶ Jesus says unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me.

³ For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: ⁴ (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) ⁵ Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

⁹ Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.

¹² For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

¹¹ And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

¹⁹ And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in wickedness.

⁴ For there are certain men crept in unexpectedly, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁴ For they are the spirits (o. pneuma) of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

²² For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall show signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
