⁸ Iesus answered him and sayde: hence from me Sathan. For it is written: Thou shalt honour the Lorde thy God and him only serve.

¹⁵ For by him offer we the sacrifice of laude allwayes to god: that is to saye the frute of those lyppes which confesse his name.

²⁸ Wherfore if we receave a kyngdom which is not moved we have grace wherby we maye serve god and please him with reverence and godly feare.

²³ But the houre commeth and nowe is when the true worshippers shall worshippe the father in sprete and in trouthe. For verely suche the father requyreth to worshippe him.

¹⁴ Above all these thinges put on love which is the bonde of parfectnes. ¹⁵ And ye peace of god rule in youre hertes to ye which peace ye are called in one body. And se that ye be thankfull. ¹⁶ Let the worde of Christ dwell in you plenteously in all wisdome. Teache and exhorte youre awne selves in psalmes and hymnes and spretuall songes which have favour wt them syngynge in youre hertes to the lorde. ¹⁷ And all thynges (whatsoever ye do in worde or dede) do in the name of the lorde Iesu gevinge thakes to god the father by him.

¹ I beseche you therfore brethre by ye mercyfulnes of God that ye make youre bodyes aquicke sacrifise holy and acceptable vnto God which is youre resonable seruynge of god.

²⁴ God is a sprete and they that worshippe him must worshippe him in sprete and trouthe.
