21 Then Peter accosting him, said, Master, how often is my brother to trespass against me and I to forgive him? Till seven times? 22 Jesus saith to him, I do not say to thee seven times, but seventy times seven.

1 Corinthians 15:33

33 Be not led astray; "good morals are debauched by talk profane."

Genesis 3:1-24

1 Now the two, both Adam and his wife were naked, and were not ashamed. But the serpent was the wisest of all the beasts on the earth which the Lord God had made, and the serpent said to the woman, "Why hath God said, you must not eat of every tree of the garden?" 2 And the woman said to the serpent, "Of the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God said, You shall not eat of it, nor touch it, that you may not die." 4 And the serpent said to the woman, "You will not by death die. 5 For God knew that in the day you eat thereof, your eyes would be opened and you would be like gods knowing good and evil." 6 And the woman saw that the tree was good for food; and that it is delightful to see with the eyes; and that to exercise understanding is comely, so having taken some of the fruit thereof, she ate and gave also to her husband with her. And when they had eaten, 7 the eyes of them both were opened, and they perceived that they were naked. And they sewed together fig leaves and made for themselves girdles. 8 And when they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the evening, both Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God, among the trees of the garden. 9 And the Lord God called Adam and said to him, "Adam, where art thou?" 10 And he said to him, "I heard the sound of thee walking in the garden and I was afraid, because I am naked, and I hid myself." 11 And God said to him, "Who told thee that thou art naked, if so be thou hast not eaten of the tree of which alone I commanded thee not to eat of this?" 12 And Adam said, "The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree and I did eat." 13 And the Lord God said to the woman, "Why hast thou done this?" And the woman said, "The serpent seduced me and I ate." 14 And the Lord God said to the serpent, "Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed from all the cattle and from all the beasts which are upon the earth. Upon thy breast and belly thou shalt go and shalt eat earth all the days of thy life. 15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman; and between thy seed and her seed. He will wound thy head, and thou wilt wound his heel." 16 And to the woman he said, "I will greatly multiply thy sorrows and thy anguish. With sorrows thou shalt bear children and to thy husband shall be thy recourse, and he shall rule over thee." 17 And to Adam he said, "Because thou hast hearkened to the voice of thy wife, and eaten of the tree of which alone I commanded thee not to eat, the ground is cursed by thy labours. With sorrows thou shalt eat of it all the days of thy life. 18 Thorns and thistles it shall cause to spring up for thee, and thou shalt eat the herbs of the field. 19 By the sweat of thy face thou shalt eat thy bread until thou return into the earth out of which thou wast taken; for earth thou art and to earth thou shalt return." 20 And Adam called the name of his wife Life, because she was to be the mother of all the living. 21 And the Lord God made for Adam and his wife garments of skin and cloathed them. 22 And God said, "Behold Adam was made like one of us to know good and evil. And now perhaps he may stretch forth his hand and take of the tree of life and eat, so shall he live forever." 23 So the Lord God sent him out of the garden of pleasure to till the ground out of which he was taken. 24 And when he put Adam out he caused him to dwell over against the garden of pleasure and stationed the Cherubim and the whirling flame of fire to keep the way to the tree of life.

Proverbs 14:30

30 A meek minded man is a physician of the heart; but a heart of sensibility is a corroder of the bones.

2 Corinthians 4:7

7 and we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may belong to God and not be from, us;

Philippians 2:5-10

5 For let this temper of mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus, 6 who being in the form of God did not think it robbery to be like God, 7 but he emptied himself"having taken the form of a servant, being in the likeness of men, 8 and found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death, even the death of a cross; 9 wherefore God highly exalted him, and granted him a name which is above every name, 10 that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those beneath the earth;

Galatians 6:2

2 Bear one another's burdens and so fulfil the law of the Christ.

John 13:34-35

34 A new commandment I give you, that you love one another. As I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you exercise mutual love.

Luke 6:27-36

27 But I charge you, my hearers, Love your enemies. Do good to them who hate you. 28 Bless them who curse you; and pray for them who spitefully abuse you. 29 To him who smiteth thee on one cheek, present also the other. And from him who taketh thy mantle, withhold not thy coat. 30 Give to every one who asketh thee. And from him who taketh away thy goods, do not demand them back. 31 And as you wish men to do to you, do ye even so to them. 32 If you indeed love them who love you, what thanks are you entitled to. For even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to them who do good to you, what thanks are you entitled to? For even sinners do the same. 34 And if you lend to them from whom you hope to receives what thanks are you entitled to. For even sinners lend to sinners, that they may receive as much in return. 35 But love your enemies; and do good; and lend without any mistrust, and your reward will be great. And you will be the children of the Most High Because he is kind, even to the ungrateful and malignant; 36 be ye therefore merciful, even as your Father is merciful.

James 5:16

16 Confess your faults to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man under the divine impulse is very powerful.

2 Corinthians 6:11-13

11 O Corinthians! Our mouth is opened to you; our heart is enlarged. 12 You are not straightened by us, but you are straightened by your own affections. 13 Now in return, I speak as to children, Be ye also enlarged.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

9 Whereupon he said to me, My grace is sufficient for thee; for my strength is perfected in weakness. Therefore I will with the greatest pleasure, rather boast of my weaknesses, that the power of the Christ may shelter me. 10 I feel therefore a complacency in weaknesses, in reproaches, in difficulties, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ; for when I am weak, then am I strong.

James 1:1-27

1 James, "a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes who are dispersed abroad, Greeting. 2 Count it, my brethren, all joy when you fall into divers trials, 3 knowing that the trial of your faith operateth to produce patience. 4 Let patience then have a full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, deficient in nothing. 5 And if any of you wanteth wisdom, let him ask it of God, who giveth to all liberally and upbraideth not; and it will be given him. 6 But let him ask with faith, without wavering, for he who wavereth is like a wave of the sea, raised by the wind and tossed about. 7 Let not therefore such a man think that he shall receive any thing from the Lord. 8 A man unsteady in his mind, is unstable in all his ways. 9 Let the brother who is in low circumstances glory in his exaltation; 10 and him who is rich, in his humiliation, because he shall pass away like a flower of the grass. 11 For the sun riseth with its scorching heat, and withereth the blade, and the flower thereof failleth, and its beautiful appearance is gone. Just so will the rich man be blasted in his pursuits. 12 Happy the man, who endureth a trial! because having stood the test, he will Jas 1:receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them who love him.

13 Let no one when tempted say, I am tempted of God. For God cannot be tempted by evil, neither doth he tempt any one. 14 But every one is tempted by his own desire, when allured and ensnared. 15 In that case desire having conceived, bringeth forth sin, and sin, when grown up, produceth death. 16 Be not led astray, my beloved brethren: 17 Every good donation, and every perfect gift, is from above, and cometh down from the father of lights, with whom there is no change, nor shadow of turning. 18 Of his own will he hath impregnated us with a word of truth, that we may be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.

James 1:19-27

19 Therefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: 20 for the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. 21 Therefore having thrown off all the filth and scum of wickedness, receive with meekness the implanted word which is able to save your souls; 22 and be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if any one is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man viewing his natural face in a glass. 24 For having viewed himself, and gone away, he instantly forgot what manner of person he was. 25 But whosoever hath looked carefully into the perfect law of this liberty, and continued therein; he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of work, shall by his doing be happy. 26 If any one among you thinketh to be religious without bridling his tongue, he is but deceiving his heart. Such a one's religion is vain. 27 Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and father is this, to take the oversight and care of orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep one's self unspotted from the world.
