Bible verses about "shyness" | RKJNT

1 Corinthians 13:1-13

1 If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become a noisy gong, or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so that I can remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 And if I give all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. 4 Love is patient, and is kind; love does not envy; love does not boast, and is not arrogant; 5 It is not rude, does not insist on its own way, is not easily provoked, it keeps no account of wrongs suffered; 6 It does not rejoice in injustice, but rejoices in the truth; 7 Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails: but where there are prophecies, they shall pass away; where there are tongues, they shall cease; where there is knowledge, it shall vanish away. 9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect comes, then that which is partial shall pass away. 11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror dimly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Galatians 5:22-25

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 Gentleness, self-control: against such things there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.

1 Peter 3:15

15 But set apart Christ as Lord in your hearts: and always be ready to give an answer to every man who asks you the reason for the hope that is in you; but do it with gentleness and respect,

Hebrews 13:2

2 Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers: for by so doing some have entertained angels without knowing it.

James 1:22

22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

Philippians 4:6-9

6 Be anxious about nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are admirable; if there is any virtue, and if there is anything worthy of praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which you have learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

2 Timothy 1:7

7 For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of self-discipline.
